Good morning. Taking the cat in for a checkup today. His vet file reads "geriatric." Note to self ... do not request a copy of my medical file.

Yippee! I woke up again today! (at this age, ya never know) Red Skelton said" When I wake up, if I don't smell lily's I thumb through a copy of Playboy to get my heart started and get out of bed".

Chilli-Bill, I bought a round-neck, "Hound-Dog" that is a higher model than the one Musicians Friend sells for about 350.00. The one I got has a spider bridge with the screen holes and an electronic pickup. The pickup is about useless, but the Dobro is so loud, it is easy to a good sound through a microphone. Also, the wood (I'm not sure of the type, maybe mahogany) seems to be of a higher quality then the standard Hound-Dog. I had played a standard Hound-Dog in a music store and did not like the tone or volume. But the one I got from a friend has a really sweet, warm tone with a little bit of growl to it. I'm happy with it.

No matter how early I get up, someone here always beats me to this post! Have a good day everyone. Insomnia strikes again! When I was visiting Australia in '05, I had an unfair advantage, 17 hours ahead of San Francisco.

Tax day indeed. I can't be the only one who has procrastinated to the very last minute.

Taxes done a month and a half ago. I hate that last minute panic of discovering that I don't have everything I need or don't know how to treat something.
I'll be lying low for a while. Gotta take a whirlwind trip to Phoenix to see family and a friend and meet with our soon-to-be-former financial adviser. Then work on the house is supposed to start next Monday. I cleaned out the storeroom in order to get to things that we wanted to move before they make a new roof. Why do we save things like cardboard boxes and carpet scraps and empty bleach bottles?
