So starts the 1st morning of the weekend... good weather out here in the SF Bay Area, high 60s and sun expected. I'll be mowing the lawn again today which has quickly grown to a foot tall.
I'm starting to look around for different work already. I haven't closed a sale yet, actually didn't expect to this quickly, but this particular company is not very patient. There's other jobs out there, and easier to find one when already employed.
My Yankees won a most entertaining game yesterday, quite a few lead changes, decent pitching and patient hitting on both sides, and a few dramatic HRs. Walkoff wild pitch in the bottom 9th to end it.
Messed around a bit last night in Open D, Rider In The Rain sounds good in it. And still working on The Sea as performed by the late great Sandy Denny, chords provided to me a couple of years ago by Billy Boy.
I/we have another session with the divorce mediator next week, and I think it will be the last one. Then it will be time to file the paperwork with the state. And figure out a way to move inexpensively.
Enjoy the weekend if you have one. And the days even if you don't.

Back from the health club and feeling all buff. The beauty of illusion...
Too many festivals, not enough time. -Jazzfest is under way. Too many people and scads of annoying people in "festival mode" with their silly get-ups and such. -If I had time, Festival International in Lafayette has to be one of the best free fests anywhere. I've been there with Sekhmet, AlanC and his Lovely Other. -Louisiana BiCentennial is at the Capitol grounds today. Lots of free food, music, crafts, demos, etc. I think we'll head there.

Mornin'.....
Off to Fowler to get started on the final cleanup in the house and to pull the garage down. Literally. We'll set whatever contents out, remove the doors, hook up a couple of log chains to it and pull it to the ground. Easier to disassemble from the ground. Brother in law is giving me one of his farm trucks with the endgate out so I load and dump easily.
Lonnie.....snow? Nah.

The only thing better is blowing shit up. I used to remove old growth cedar stumps with dynomite - some took 4 sticks - when I lived in rural Washington state. I did that with a carport about ten years ago. I removed all the cross bracing between the eight 4x4 posts and two of us pushed it over. At the time we had previously parked $75K of cars in it. A strong windstorm could have blown it down on top of those two cars. Yikes.

Cold and rainy here. I wanted to mow the lawn but I will have to sit around listening to music, playing my guitar and sipping fine wine instead. Drat! Enjoy the day.

Lessee what I got on the Bachelor Dew list. Hmm, watch a couple car shows on the telly, wander down to Podium and plunder some new arrivals, then off to the fishmonger as I have a walleye jones, then maybe to a brewery taproom and then I need to ignore the Twins and play some guitar and oh yeah, I really should clean the kitchen floor, but there's always Sunday.

Good morning ... today I remove a euonymous bush that has grown behind the electric meter and is causing all kinds of problems. I don't have to turn off the electricity 'cuz I'll be working real fast.
See y'all tomorrow ... most likely ;D

Good morning ... today I remove a euonymous bush You have a bush named after yourself??? Heh. I like that. I got in a conversation with another artist set up next to me at a show. We got talking about ways we've heard people mispronounce words that left us scratching our heads, wondering exactly what they were talking about. I told of the time someone told me of a flower arrangement they had in their house. In it was some "you cally peatus". I had to think about it for a while before I finally figure out that they read "eucalyptus" but had no idea what the word was, so they had sounded it out. She countered with the story of a date who was trying to impress her with his tale of having snorkeled in ba-Rack-a-duh infested waters.

Afternoon. Slept about 14 hours and feel somewhat human again.
It's sunny and coolish, but the prediction is that the rest of the month will be normal. About 15 to 17 Celsius. That's very pleasant weather indeed.
Thinking about doing a vegetable garden this year. Like the idea of no pesticides.

Quite productive day at Fowler. Was able to pick up the truck on the way in to town, stopped to put some gas in it and it was dead when I went to start it. A friend drove by about then and I called him real quick and he came to my rescue with jumper cables. Got the truck to the house, got most of the prep done to the garage but will drop it next trip. That will be in two weeks as next weekend is the Sampler Festival where I'll spend two days playing music, meeting people and making new friends, and hopefully booking some new gigs and getting CD sales off to a good start.
And I'll stop by the house in Fowler Thursday when I go for a haircut and put my charger on the truck and just leave it on a 2 amp trickle.
