Bill, he had it right, only one L in O'Neil, pretty soon we'll do away with the apostrophe, paring it down to the simplest simplicity. (Not that it really matters, but if there's anyone out there that wants to sue me, use two ells )

I have been encouraging John Bushouse to come to Idiot Jam and a while back we agreed to share a room. I thought any announcement was John's choice but he has just told me there is no need to keep it quiet, so I won't. The Soundholer formerly known as JohnB is coming to I-Jam!I, for one, am looking forward to seeing him. +1

Is Todd gonna be there this year? Todd who? Geez, I didn't think we'd have to go to page 3 to pick that one up.

We would actually love to but we're booked that weekend: Of course we're going to be out in Chicago, Indianapolis, and Bloomington a month later. Maybe you want to move IJ to the weekend of October 13. ;D

I saw your schedule, for Indy and Bloomington and may be able to catch one of those. Wasn't there a Chateau Thomas gig in Nashville Indiana on there for Sunday?

The core of this trip has been in place for a while and I believe there were a couple of wineries tagged in on Sunday and Monday but those fell through. As it stands now I got my WARN notice here at the plant a week ago so October 12 is my termination date. With any luck I'll figure out a way to start work at another job on October 15 so it's probably best that we head directly home. However there's still a possibility of a house concert somewhere out ther or in Chicago Sunday night, so maybe I start on the 16th. Right now the schedule is current as far as I know (Christal does the booking and I just say, "Yes, dear.")

Hey folks. Quite the line-up. I'm about 80%. Finances are so tight now. And if I do show up, I'm likely to be just a spectator, haven't been playing much at all. The camaraderie alone is worth it.

I think it's great that we have such a great big list. It'll be good to see folks I haven't seen in a long time, meet new people, and it's great that JohnB is coming. It'd be great if Mr. Tandberg made an appearance. Do we know that?

I thought this year's date was chosen specifically to accommodate Mr. Tandberg.

It was moved for several people. It was also moved so it wouldn't conflict with the Iowa/Iowa State game, in hopes of drawing a larger audience on Saturday night.

I haven't updated the page for last year, as I changed my hosting service and have things all over the place and haven't had time to redo my site... eventually Please click here to enjoy the past gatherings.

We'll be down there till probably Tuesday. I entered the Bloomingtunes Song Contest. But haven't heard if I get a lucky finalist selection or not. But the finals are on Sat Oct 13, so there's no way I can be there for the live show anyway. *sigh*And Folk Alliance Region Midwest is in St Louis the 11th trough the 14th. So, this wedding takes me out of that too. I'm quite happy for my nephew getting married. This is a pretty primary family event. So, the family trump card has been played. Nothing else shall interfere. Wish I'd be in Chicago for you. Wish I could go to Bloomingtunes, iffn I get a selection. But looks like I'll be AWOL. PS - I'm thinking of going to the Blueburd Cafe Open Mic on Monday the 14th; seeing as we'll be in that town. We'll see if another trump card gets played.

The dates you're mentioning are in October. Either that was a typo, or you can still make it.

Wow.....looking at that calendar for the 13th.....Tony Rice Unit w/ special guest Red Molly. Just listened to Red Molly yesterday at the Tumbleweed Festival, then jammed with their dobro player Abbie Gardner last night at my friend Willis's house. Wish the other two would have joined in too. They're REALLY good.
