He came into my room where I was doing something on the computer, just stood there, wagging his tail, looking at me, and making little noises that kept getting louder. I had just fed him 15 minutes before, but I asked him anyway. He looked at the bowl, then me again, then the back door, and then he went through the dog door in the back door. (It's about an hour later, and he was just checking it out again! Follow-up skills as well...) He walked over to bench-like wooden " retaining wall" and I immediately noticed smoke coming from part of it, near where Graham's friends smoke cigarettes, and other stuff. Dante watched me as I extinguished the flames (not much) and smoke. When I was finished and there was no more smoke, he went back inside. Thanks, Dante.

Good for Dante! Morgan did that one Christmas over some candles ... she arrived at the dinner table barking her face off and ran back into the living room where there was a candle emergency.
Dogs are the best.

Dogs are amazing, and Dante is an amazing dog. That's a great story, t-bob.
