My cursor keeps moving to other spots in the body of my post, and messing up my text, here and elsewhere, email included. Is there an adjustment I can make to get this to go away?
BTW, I have an MSI X340 laptop
Thanks in advance.

Laptop, eh? With a touchpad "mouse" control? I understand those devices can get, um, squirrelly. Does the behavior go away if you float your hands over the keyboard instead of resting your wrists on the machine when you type?
If it is a touchpad setup, you might try plugging in a conventional mouse and disabling the touchpad.

I had the same problem with the touchpad mouse. I bought a plug in mouse for laptops and it works fine now.

I have also had issues with some laptop touchpads. my mouse would sort of drift as I watched it. very odd.

Most laptops have a feature that allows you to set it up to automatically disable the touchpad when it detects you have a mouse connected. If you are using a mouse, set the laptop to do that. It gets rid of the squirrelly cursor jumps.

This particular laptop does not have the resources to turn off the mousepad so I'll try a corded mouse.
