That's why we had just the one conversation with the tree guy. We couldn't seriously consider him as a service provider. Six years on, and the tree is doing fine. My neighbor and I removed all of the widow makers and some of the other dead limbs. As for age, I'd say this oak is well over 100 years old. She's a huge tree at the base.

Back from a long lunch with our social club. One of the members, actually widow of a long-time member, brought mini fruit breads. We got a cranberry and a pumpkin, which will make a nice Christmas breakfast. Meanwhile, stuffed with pizza and hot wings, Mr. H and I are procrastination on today's walk.
Good to know that those with serious health problems are at least making some progress.
