Here's a rendition of the old Turlough O'Carolan melody I wrote, played, and recorded on guitar a while back. The title translates as "The Big Hill and the Little Hill," which describes the A section and the B section very nicely. Hope you like it! soundcloud.com/johnstone777/shin-bhig-shin-mhor

(Oh, and one thing to know. Just about everything on this board is just posted into The Cafe. Certainly nothing wrong with putting this thread here, where it actually belongs, it's just that many members only really see stuff in The Cafe....)

Thanks very much for the kind words, xyrn (and for the tip about posting in the Cafe)! I had never heard Coulter's version of the song before -- it's lovely. Nor did I know the interesting legend connected with the tune. Thank you for those links!
