Up and into the second hour of work.
Big weekend in store. We open for Jonathan Byrd Saturday (almost sold out) and we finally release our third CD. My understanding is that there will be professional video tape. I guess I have to shower.

Not working today, but am attending an all day trauma conference for work. So, kinda working, just wearing clothes instead of scrubs.

Good morning.
Work conferences were always like trauma as I recall.
A guy is supposed to come for the tarps I'm giving away but I don't know when yet so I don't know if I have time for golf. If not I can always continue cleaning the pool. It's clearing up some but it takes awhile for the shock to work. Contemplating swimming still beats contemplating shoveling snow.

Made a trip to PA yesterday to do some shopping and visit some friends who are the winemaker and vineyard manager at Hauser winery. Never saw so many apple and peach trees before--some 4000 acres and all in bloom north of Gettysburg. Got a great tour and barrel tasting. BTW also visited a Guitar Center and the best guitar I played was a Seagull which I was somewhat tempted by.

Good morning! Peter, congrats on the CD release. You two are really tearing it up! Very cool! Man oh man did I love yesterday's temps...80 degrees all day and into the evening. Just wonderful. Of course today it's raining and much cooler. Ahhhhh Wisconsin. The weather hasn't been inviting enough for us to get the deck ready for "sittin" and the pots that will be overflowing with colorful annuals once it ever warms up are now just stacked up on the deck. The retaining wall (huge) behind our condo building has fallen over and can't get up and the board is niggling over which company to hire to fix it. All in all we look out at a big mess at the moment. Lar and I have a few (paid!) gigs lined up for summer. We're playing at the local coffeehouse on the 18th of this month. We have been booked for a couple of senior communities for their evening entertainment in June and July. In June we're also playing at one of the stages for a weekly "Friday Night Live" event in Waukesha. We have a 2 night gig at some bar in Kenosha in July. Just this week we got an August booking for a Legion Post (fish fry night) where, as Lar puts it, "there will be more blue hair than you can shake a stick at". LOL It's going to be a fun summer! What's not "fun" is all the cleaning I need to do here today. Better get busy. TGIF, Worker Bees!

Xyrn. I envy you. Trauma conferences are the best. Comraderie, best practices, and you don't have to hit that IV. I miss everything but the stress. Have a great career.

Good morning. Not good today. I dream of the days I could get out on the bike and do a little ride, or go out for a little tennis, or maybe a little five mile run. I used to be kinda active--not good, just active.

Good morning. I have a major court hearing this afternoon and I'm hoping I don't screw up. Have a good day.

Morning all
Later today I get to go wood hunting, fun. Looking for some good bridge stock for the H1260. Much of my bridge stock is cut to 7in. and that bridge is 7 1/2in long and over 1 1/2in. wide which makes it too wide for the long classical bridge stock. I do have Honduran, Yucatan and Madagascar blanks that would work. My first choice being the Madagascar but the one piece I have left is a rather bland light chocolate brown with no other colors to it.For Millring's guitar I want something with a little flare to it. I could and will order wood online but sometimes it is nice to see what I'm getting before I buy it. Now back to income repairs.

Gook luck flake. Talking to a good friend of mine who became a federal judge said the major problem with lawyers he saw was not being prepared for the hearing. Since I know you'll be you'll be OK. That was my experience as a prosecutor too. I won a very difficult murder case once that was reversed on appeal due to incompetence of counsel for the defense. He just wasn't ready to try the case. Hated to get that one reversed.

Our big chorus concert is tomorrow. That means this afternoon is rehearsal and sound check, which always runs longer than it should. Much as I enjoy singing and playing for the group, I look forward to the summer months when I can spend time on other music.
Did some yard cleanup yesterday - pruning roses, raking up Italian cypress needles, and cutting up the mesquite branches that I had previously pruned. It has been pleasantly cool.
