Open Mic today. I played my piano warhorse, Bach Prelude Cmaj and picked my Barbarossa guitar on Goodnight, Irene with a friend singing. She is a special crooner.

Tossing around ideas with the holiday party band folks. I'm suggesting Cookesferry Queen (Richard Thompson) and The Shape I'm In (The Band). Our guest vocalist is thinking a Billy Idol medley and our ace guitarist is suggesting Thin Lizzy's Jailbreak. Got to get moving on this since I'm only working a couple of days a week.

Got things to do in the shop. With Fall arriving so does the guitar repair season. Which reminds me that I need to order humidifier making supplies, lots of them.

Good morning all...or what's left of it. Feeling more than a little heart-tug guilty today.  My SIL's schedule changed and the grand-darling for whom we care needed 4 days of care a week instead of 3. I max out at 3 so the little one has started day care once a week. She (and Mommy) are really struggling. Daughter texted me this morning to say she left her at the daycare breakfast table and the little one had her head down on her hands on the table and was crying. I really need/cherish my days "off"...but I may cave in. |
