It's a young Roc. You don't want to be anywhere around it when it's done growing.

Possibly a young South African Hornbill.

It is probably a hornbill, either a red-billed hornbill or a yellow-billed hornbill. They hail from Sub-Saharan Africa. It is an exotic, and it looks young, so it probably is a escapee from a zoo or some type of exotic bird collection.

Oh, they are worth about $30,000. They are also very tasty.
You have a decision to make.

That is clearly a bird who is somewhere it doesn't belong. Is it flying well? It strikes me that if it is hanging around someone's house it is probably used to human company. Might need human company to survive.
What strange and wonderful creatures we have on this planet.

"What Bird is This"? Is that to the tune of "Greensleeves"?

It eats fruit, seed, insects, and unwary photographers.

It's a sparrow. Stop staring. She's sensitive about the beak thing.

I doubt it is a sparrow. Goes to show what potters know. I believe it to be a Rufus Hummingnatarius Rhinoplasticus, which is a hummingbird with a proboscis problem.

To further Soundhole education, specifically it's an eastern yellow-billed hornbird. We'd see those in Africa. They are omnivores, as part of their diet is small mammals.

I honestly thought it was the Eastern Jimmy Durante bird. Instead a tweeting, it says hacha cha cha and it often travels with the Mrs. Calabash bird.
It often wears a hat that looks really cool.
