G'mornin - been a while since I started a daily. A little overcast but sun expected. My BiL left me a chore to do - check the mousetraps he set and reset if tripped until we deal with the interloping little mammals - he leaves me such fun projects

Slowly getting back to normal after traveling for almost 3 weeks. I spent 3 1/2 hours digging weeds out of the driveway yesterday. Had to stop due to more monsoon rain. Not that I would have lasted much longer. Didn't quite get halfway around the large circular drive and still haven't started in the garden. But bills are paid, health insurance claims dealt with, finances are in order, unpacking and laundry done, groceries purchased, and we spent Friday in Tucson for Mr. H's eye appointment plus shopping. Yard work continues today, then maybe some music time.

Morning
A warm 86f today.
Going to pick up a 4" planer today that I got on trade for some repair work. Don't know where I'm going to put it yet.

Starting day 6 after knee replacement. My poor leg has massive bruising on the top part of the leg and some down near the toes. Trying to get the quad muscles to stretch. Standing fells better then sitting down. If I set down muscles pull tight right away. I do the exercises that they gave me and feels better when I finish. Does anyone know how long swelling will last and how long to get the muscles to stretch. I've been using plenty of ice.

The blade is only 4" wide but the table for it is 4' long and cast iron weighing out at about 250lbs. Add the motor and stand it probably comes to 300lbs.

Do your exercises indoors, Bob. It's hotter than hell out there.

Well the beer for three kidnapping went really well. It turned out pretty redneck and was a little more restrained than anticipated. Had dinner at the Cracker Barrel Exit 5 off 93 (country fried chicken). Then we met friends at a bar, surprise it was my old picking partner and his wife that we hadn't seen for at least 2 years. Had a beer and gab fest. Then went to the Tupelo Music Hall next door where we listened to Andrew Dufour, Andy McKee and Stephen Bennett. Was thinking of Don as they finished with a harp guitar duet. Then the highlight of the evening was shopping for underwear at Walmart. We do know how to have a good time, smooching in the back aisles. Stayed overnight in an airBnB. Sweet folks. Finally had breakfast this am in the niftiest 50's themed diner. Great food, cool memorabilia, waitresses in poodle skirts, and fantastic omelets. Yeah. I like it when my wife kidnaps me.
