Tis a good day. Chill and bright this early morning, heading for toasty this afternoon. Yet another reason to love NH.

G'mornin' - power is back! Electricity is wonderful stuff, luckily it wasn't the dead of winter. And I learned lots of new stuff about generators and emergency power protocol. With luck I'll be better prepared for the next time .

Hey. Trying to finish up mastering some tracks for a friend. We recorded him earlier in the year and Fiddlerina played some fiddle on them. It's about time I got these done. Also need to stain the 2nd floor deck (rather small).

Back to hot and humid here. I was trying to practice for tonight's open mic on the back porch this morning but it's too sticky to play. Hope the A/C's working at The Clam Shack. I might try out my arrangement of "Time in a Bottle" on the reasonably friendly audience tonight but I'm still missing the harmonics usually.

Speaking of harmonics, who here is good at chord harmonics? Where you're holding a chord and using an angled harmonic brush to play harmonics across all the strings. I could use some pointers.

Just got back from a little road trip. 90% on blue. Highways.
Patsy job in Yankton SD. (If you need a cheap hotel there the Star Bright Motor Lodge is great. Right out of 1956.)
Hometown visit in Alliance NE
Ranch visit south of Bingham NE (4WD required) where I spent 4 hours helping fight a big grass fire. (Got to ride on the spray platform of the fire truck and work the water canon)
Mother in law visit Central City NE
Home early this AM plumb tuckered out.
Western Nebraska and the Sandhills are as green and beautiful as I've ever seen them.

Morning
85F today and overcast. Nice temp but it is also 90% humidity which really sucks. I usually don't turn on the AC until it it's 87F but with this humidity it is needed.
Yesterdays shop time ended with a broken band saw blade and now I know why it was tracking wrong and ruined two bridges. Got a new blade on this morning and it is tracking great and cutting very quickly so I should have no problems getting a bridge made. Luckily they were walnut, which I have lots of and it's cheap. If it had been Brazilian or some rare Palo Escrito I'd been pissed off.

Morning. Cold and crisp here in Kenai. Made the 3 hour drive to Anchorage yesterday with mom and Sandy to pick up 130lbs of caribou sausage at the processing place. Got myself completely caught up on the extended family . Lunch at The Princess Lodge in Cooper Landing on the outside deck overlooking the Kenai. Halibut tacos were awesome. Today its a bbq dinner at a family friends but she has a place on the river with a good fishing hole so you can guess where I'll be Ya'll be good
