Rainy day here. There's no football today. The Pats have the Monday night game so I don't know what I'll do today. The Shingles attack is back down to a nuisance level and I'm trying to get off the Advil and lidocaine if I can. Still don't think I can swing a golf club but maybe in another week if it's not too cold I'll try. Good luck to your teams whoever they are.

Good Morning Good People
Clear and cold. Snow is decorating the trees and lawns, melted from the streets and sidewalks.
Spent a considerable amount of time with son, nephew, and 8-year-old grandniece yesterday. Moving and stacking firewood, repairing a bookshelf, and moving lots of stuff from Paris Avenue to Norwalk Drive. Grandniece did well driving nails and catching boards coming off the table saw (with Uncle Zack hovering).
Having a kid buy a house is great way to get rid of excess furniture and stuff.
Office time this morning to catch up on boring reports. Cold carpentry this afternoon.
Have a serene Sunday one and all.

A brisk 17 degrees here but sunny and snowless --- should be right around freezing at 3:30 when the big Vikes/Pack game gets going.
Heard John Gorka last night -- his usual combination of dear songs and funny stage banter. Looked like a full house at the Cedar.
Off to Trader Joe's this morning to pick up my assigned foodstuffs for Thanksgiving at my sister's place, then over to Babs' for breafkast -- she is making Icelandic pancakes w/ lingonberries. I can only imagine that the cakes are made with cod.

Converted, low 50s here, tho the coming weekend will see the 40s.
Would've been a nice bike day.

Well, Edwards won the governorship here for the Democrats. On the other hand (as his name appeared on the ballot) "Mac Rooster Lips" Edmonston lost his bid for a seat on the Ascension Parish District 7 Council.

I'll be putting my Santa suit on soon then to play "Santa Paws" at the cat shelter my daughters run. I means a long afternoon of kids with their pets having their pictures taken with Santa. I told my daughters this year that I'm going to be Drunk Santa, and try to get the moms to sit on my lap. They saw no humor in that.

Turns out that Icelandic pancakes are, basically, crepes. Very tasty, rolled up with lingonberry spread spooned into the middle.

My serendipity was yesterday. I looking in one building at The San Anselmo Seminary. I found two grand pianos... Old Steinway crappy one. But another a 7' Baldwin grand piano.... 90% perfect. AND a harpsichord too! I can play this instrument 9:00am thru 10:00pm possibly. My serendipity...
G'day!
