Just got home from my gig. It was a good one. Since it was New Years somewhere every hour we sang Auld Lang Sang four times. Straight, waltz, poka, and calypso.
HAPPY NEW YEAR!

HAPPY NEW YEAR!
I just returned from a wild night of bridge, chips and dip, and beer. Returned to the kitchen, that is, from the den, where Gus and I were victorious over Charlene and Anna on all counts except the score sheet (we destroyed them in chip eating).
Now I am just making sure there are no peanuts left over to tempt me on the morrow then it's off to a bed Charlene should have all warm and toasty for me.

Happy New Year! I snoozed into it. But my cold has seemed to benefit, and, oh, yes, the lords are a leaping!

Happy New Year! I snoozed into it. But my cold has seemed to benefit, and, oh, yes, the lords are a leaping! I snoozed into it as well and barely stirred for the midnight barrage. I forget, how many lords are leaping?

8, it's eight lords a leaping. And who can sleep through that? Not I.

Good morning. Went to bed at 10:00, and it doesn't appear as if I missed anything. Everything looks the same, and the sun will be out again today.

Next knee replacement in 12 days. My little dachshund , Lily had 3 discs go out in her back and that set us back 4700.00 but after 40 days she's up and walking. I'm waiting for Todd's drone to get stuck in an 80 or 100 foot tree. I know 2 people that have done that in Vinton.

Good Morning Good People
A wild New Years Eve with Mizz Lola at the Children's Museum. Home by 8:00, Lola asleep by 9:00. Muddled about the house and munched snacks a sipped Third Coast Old Ale, fell asleep shortly after midnight listening to Vaughan-Williams.
Up early, out for breakfast and errands with Miss Lola whilst Mama and Grandma sleep. Maybe some workshop time with a sharpening and music session. (Using sharp tools is a pleasure, sharpening is tedious)
Have a fine New Years Day one and all.

Yes it's become a tradition - fall asleep in the recliner by 10 and wake at 00:30 to get into a real bed... HAPPY NEW YEAR!!

Happy New Year
In bed by 9.30 after a glass of wine. Kids stayed up till all hours and are all asleep in my living room. They'll all awake when they smell pancakes cooking.

I didn't make it to midnight, but then I wasn't trying, slept in this morning. Woke up chilly and joint-achey, guess I should get used to that.
It's gray here but not too cold and the winds are calm. I was hoping to hop over to Ward 6 for some chow today but their Fbook page says they are closed. Maybe I'll find a Chinese place that's open.
Laundry to do, a driveway to shovel, exciting stuff.

We stayed up in an effort to enjoy every bit of 2015 while it was still with us. Sure hated to see it go. It turned out there was a whole nuther year right on its heels. We haven't decided what to call it yet. The transition seemed entirely seamless.

Patti and I toasted the new year with champagne and sparkling grape juice, watched The Da Vinci Code and feel asleep. Looks like the same planet this morning.

Happy New Year!
Went to dinner with Angie last night, then downtown to the fireworks show, which was really something. Got home and dialed up "Saturday Night Fever" on Netflix, had some wine at midnight, then started the new year of with a bang.
Gonna go rebuild a carburetor now.
