Good morning. Supposed to start raining any time now but at least it's warmer than yesterday. I survived 4 songs at the open mic last night but not up to my own standards. Mary said my singing was off at the start but got better. I was concentrating on getting my fingers to work so that's probably why the singing was iffy. For me to play and sing at the same time the playing has to be on auto-pilot and it's not now. I don't think the audience noticed as much as I did. I'll try to keep practicing but eventually I'm going to have to get the nerve thing fixed if I'm ever going to get back to where I was. Peg, the organizer, and I did an impromptu "Four Strong Winds" while the sound guy was setting up and that went OK so at least I had one thing going with the audience before I actually went on. A guy near the stage asked if we were the house band and I said, "No, that was just the sound check". He was impressed anyway.

45F and cloudy.
There is a metal detecting hunt going on in northern WI this weekend. Tomahawk Boy Scout Camp was once a logging camp and the camp leaders want to find items for their museum. Logging related finds go to the camp and you can keep any coins or other items found, plus prize tokens have been seeded around the site and you can win a new detector or other detecting related prizes. I registered for it but between tons of work and bad weather I'm not going.

The time signature varies according to taste. The tempo usually starts larghissimo, builds to prestissimo and after crescendo usually slows ritenuto back to laghissimo and fine.
