Get well, Bob.
Good morning. The pool guy called, says he has the parts and will be here this morning. I wonder what time morning is on Shore Time. Anyway, I have a Dr. appointment, simple stuff, scrip refill, but I'll ask if he can get me into the neurologist any faster than the October appointment I have now. Don't know if he has any pull since they're in different group practices. I pick up a guitar now and then but I can't play it.

Goooooooood mornin'!..... Rollin' around here earlier than usual. Overcast and 72º, heading to 93º. I really should muster enough getupandgo to run the weedeater today before we go for 99º tomorrow. Still trying to shake this cough by the weekend, when we go back to KC for the monthly checkup. Leaving a day early to maybe find something fun to do since Carrie will join us this trip. And now! It has taken me just shy of 9 years of cavorting in here with you fine folks to finally achieve that ever-sought-after goal! That mighty milestone in post count! Yes folks, with this post on today's daily, I have reached..... Oh Happy Day!! I'm also still here to enjoy you all more. |

Attempting to post from a semi- intelligent phone from a job site. Spending the day watching excavators dig and haul contaminated dirt. Gonna get hot; the air conditioning in this useless Ford (company vehicle) doesn't work. Fortunately it is windy and we are downwind from Lake Michigan.

85F sunny with a light breeze.
Back to the shop to get as much done as possible this week as I'm on vacation next week and don't want guitars left in the shop.
EDIT: Congrats Don. I never even look at my post count but did so after Don's post, don't remember when I passed 10K.

My brother's 2nd son and 3rd daughter are here for a visit. They're both really nice young adults, but I came out of MN hermitage and even after 4 years here I'm not used to so many people on a day-to-day basis. But it's a nice day, and they'll both help out around the yard, just got to figure which projects to sic them on.

EDIT: Congrats Don. I never even look at my post count but did so after Don's post, don't remember when I passed 10K. I hadn't paid any attention either really.....I looked over a couple of days ago and saw 9,996 and thought "Oh." Of course we know who will always be the leader in post count.  |

I woke up with a brainstorm this morning. A national vote as to whether we should start the presidential race all over again from scratch. Then I got my wits about me and realized that it would probably just result in two new fruitcakes.
Big storm missed us, just a lot of rain. Thank God for the Runestone.

My doctor's office just called. They got me a neurologist appt. Aug 26th which is better than the Oct 18 Mary got me. Maybe I'll be able to play guitar or at least start practicing when the colder weather sets in and I have time to kill. It's good to buy your doctor an occasional drink.

My only son, Alex Bennett Sarad, turned 29 today. As I drove him to LAX last week, I took him to the rock climbing area I stopped at in LA county the day before he was born.
