Sleepless night.
Yesterday was Andrew's birthday. It was both tough and cathartic. We are fortunate to be in a church that supports us in our situation and gives a venue where expressions of grief are encouraged and even shared. So yeah, catharsis.

Good but cold morning.
It's 13 degrees outside, in the 60s inside and I feel cold. The heat pump has nothing to pump at 13 degrees. I have a couple of electric space heaters running, one by the birds and one in the kitchen. They aren't doing much really. We have gas heaters but Mary has decided she's allergic to them so I had to turn them off yesterday. I'm starting to think I need one of those "Bubble Boy" enclosures for her to live in. It's frustrating.
Shoveled a path between the house and the quilt studio yesterday without any arm damage as far as I can tell. I'll probably try to get a car out today but I'm not sure there's anywhere to go. Most of the local stuff is still closed because although the main road may be plowed the rest of them are still snow covered. This should all be gone by Wednesday when we're supposed to be back in the 60s.
Happy Monday, if that's possible.

Morning
24F/-4C good possibility of 2" of snow today.
Lots to do today, already started laundry and managed to do so without throwing my back out this time. Plenty to do in the shop and guitars to pick up from the Podium also. Next shop improvement project, lighting. There are three 24" long fluorescent fixtures on the very low ceiling in there and I want to change them to low profile dual bulb fixtures so I can put LEDs in them. More light and less bulk so I'm not banging into them from time to time. Lonnie could bump his head on one easily.

Sending good thought your way, Evan.
Might rain here today, too. Temps have been in the deep freeze but it should hit 47 tomorrow. It was about 12 yesterday. Kids were ice skating on the pond in back. It looked strange because there is no snow on the ground due to the last rain and warm-up. Have some fun today.

The thaw is Sposed to be here today. Right now it's snowing. I'm hoping to get down to Corvallis to fix the Buick's windshield wipers, and lunch with my daughter. Pick up the Dachschund terrorists and bring them home so they can snooze in front of the fire, that is all.

It didn't rain as much as I expected yesterday, but it has broken the freeze, currently 37 may get as high as 42 later with more rain in the forecast. Bi-weekly box store shopping trip today - always fun. Doug is right - Bad bridge last night.
Winter isn't even 1/3 over and already I can't wait for spring. Stay warm y'all.
