I have a Macbook Pro and I have no idea where the mic is, but there must be one because it can hear me when I use Siri.

Now I'm intrigued.

Apparently the mic on mine is under the left hand speaker grille.

I was going to say upper left corner, just above or above left of the ESC key. Could be elsewhere on an Air.
