Good morning everybody. It's Sunday. This is my sanctuary.

So I had a good day on Saturday. I played classical piano.... at least three hours. So I decided I wanted watch a movie. I'm about 70 ...I'm about 17. The movie is puerile. I'm liking it a lot. Some of the music good. Actually the flick was pretty mediocre 1 to 10 scale. 6.6

War Dogs... Jonah Hill, Miles Teller, Bradley Cooper and a little hot one, Ana De Armas.

Cooked dinner--soundhole ribs, plus a good salad and rice (rice is still rice-cooker-ing) Wife was grading papers (from exams) and also her mother's water heater went south, so she and her sister were also busy getting repair etc. set up for that.

There'll be some leftovers for a couple lunches, plus stock for soup in a day or few.

I'll be rooting for the Falcons tonight which should guaranty a Patriots victory. Once this is over we can get back to Baseball which is a warm weather sport. Can't wait.

Good Morning Good People

Cloudy and chilly and surrounded by dirty snow that is half-melted and refrozen. Office work this morning, basement work this afternoon, hanging out with Mizz Lola in the evening whilst the rest of the world watches a fight over a lemon-shaped ball.

Sunny and mild in Minnie, looks to be a lazy day ahead, other than picking up an Rx, making a Trader Joe's run, and maybe checking out a new place up the road called Tavern Grill that has what sounds like a pretty impressive Sunday brunch ... Marty, you interested?

I did not purchase a car yesterday -- I think Babs might, though, and I would fully support that move, as the car she/we drove is quite the automobile and quite the deal financially. I'd buy it myself, if it weren't about $10K out of my price range. I'll do a separate post on the whole story later today -- the tech stuff on those cars was somewhere between amazing and confounding to the point of exasperation, and it's only gonna get deeper as time goes on, I reckon.

Got a big ol hunk of double-smoked pork steak that is maybe a week old, should be fine -- cutting that into cubes along with an onion and green pepper dice, simmering all that to sweetness, then dumping frozen hash browns over the top, give that like a half-hour of cooking time. Couple eggs on the side, yer talking good eatin.

There was a squirrel corpse on Lexington Ave. as I returned from Trader Joes -- I left it for ya, LJ. It's right at County C2, across from the Dairy Queen, you know the spot.

G'day to All!

Moving slowly today after hosting a very fun gathering of friends last night. Lasagna turned out spectacularly well if I do say so myself! Plenty of wine flowed freely as did conversation. We played a couple of rousing rounds of Catch Phrase, which is such great fun when played with sharp minds and wits as were seated at my table last night.

Late to bed and too much wine but with enough Advil I hope to be able to weather the visual and audio effects to see Rogue One at the local theater.

I am not a football fan although I kind of got into watching the Packers in the last few weeks of their season. Not interested in the Superbowl since "my team" is not in it. I can catch the commercials and halftime show on YouTube at some later date.
