Weird weather - landslides, trees downing, earth sinkholes, etc etc. I think he is the problem.... the new president.
Have a serene day, good idiots!

26 years ago, a bunch of friends and I crossed into Iraq for the fist time. Dang, but we've made some dumb decisions concerning the Middle East before and after that one. We also drew some seriously flawed conclusions from Iraq 1991. Given we have former or active generals in DHS, NSA and DOD, I'm wondering whether we'll continue to view a military solution as the best solution.
Happy Friday.

Out for an hour with the dog, took a few pics (still on the card). Nice, but chilly enough I wore headgear.

Good, though a little foggy, morning.
Supposed to be Spring-like again today. Might golf might not. Walked 9 yesterday and didn't die but 2 days in a row might be pushing it.
Happy Friday.

There are small white flowers blooming in the flower bed in my front yard. It is February, right? I noticed the flowers because there were two Robins sitting next to them eating worms. Enjoy this fine winter day.

I am thrilled to report that The Blizzard of The Millennium totally ignored the Twin Cities, although 50 miles south they got whupped pretty good, and other parts of that region got whupped real good.
So we shall just coast into the weekend, shall we not, when temps are sposed to get back to a wee bit above normal and the bare lawns and ugly sticks shall persist.

Friday! Let the weekend festivities begin!! Got my first round of song suggestions and corresponding YouTube links off to my potential new duo partner yesterday. Today I have my little Texas Tornado of a grand nugget with me for the day (16 months of "all boy"). Going to my favorite wine bar tonight with friends tonight to hear some live music. Tomorrow I have theater tix and plans for a nice dinner afterward in beautiful downtown Milwaukee. Sunday may go hear a bit more live music... a musician friend is doing his last gig before undergoing cancer treatment. My daughter is an oncology NP who works in a radiology clinic and she told me that the cancer I described requires a particularly grueling treatment. . Damn cancer. Take a moment to count and enjoy your blessings, Everyone. TGIF to the worker bees among us!

Really pleased spring training has started, but it leaves a dearth of baseball new first thing in the am, as workouts and games are early afternoon and stories don't hit the net till mid to late afternoon. Well, Saturday we get to see the first live TV with RedSox spring training 'action.' There is that.

Better slip in before the morning is gone.
It's that crazy day when all the pre-registered Swannanoa campers get to begin the "Battle of the Bandwidth" precisely at 5:00 pm to sign up for classes. I should be OK since I'm only going for two. Mainly going to see friends and shake off the last 3 years.

Back from a nursing home gig with my chorus. I didn't make the delivery to my cancer-stricken friend yesterday because she wasn't doing well. Planning to go over there today. As we live not far apart and she is a former chorus member, I get a lot of things to take to her.
Mr. H's vision got better after he put a call in to the doctor yesterday. By the time he got a call back, he was at about 20/100 in that eye. Got some instructions, including to make a call in at 8:00 this morning, which he did. By then he was at 20/40, so no more crisis.
Leg of lamb is marinating since last night. Couscous salad and some green stuff to go with it. Wine is likely.
Our low temp this morning was 25F, lower than predicted. Glad I haven't planted anything yet. Have only done some prep work.

Have had a stretch of uninterrupted days in the shop. Made the bridge for a BZ/Adi OM today and it is ready to go to finish. Now for the archtop and a couple of repairs. Cool but no snow, I'd actually like some.

Man, that is amazing. I'd never have thought a ski resort could get snowed under. It will be interesting to see how the snow melt plays out in an already saturated California this spring.

Vacuumed the house. Cleaned dirty floors on my hands and knees with a washcloth. Dusted.
Reminded the wife I am riding at 4:15.
She forgot, or did I forget to tell her?
Either way I am in a heap of trouble.
