Up and awake and off to my final project management class today. This is the eight hour review class, and to say I am less than enthusiastic about it would be fair.
We've have a ton of rain over the past two days. The tomato plants are growing fast, and the strawberry plants, just in on Tuesday, are starting to slowly take off. The blueberries are four for six, with two still looking a little ragged. I asked my coworker who planted six last summer whether they wilted a little before taking off, and he said two of his did as well. We'll see. It's surely not for lack of water, either put there by me or by the rain.
Have a good one, peoples.

Good morning.
If we had storms last night I don't see any evidence of them. It is a lot cooler and fresher air though so I'll take it. I did some work out in the heat yesterday then after supper laid down to watch TV, fell asleep around 7, woke up a little before 9 long enough to go to bed and woke up at 5 this morning. Maybe I'll have some ambition today in the cooler weather. We'll see.
Happy Saturday.

I'm up, sort of. Ugh, not enough sleep last night. This afternoon might be nap time. Speaking of dogs, our mini short haired Doxie brought her mom (Anita) a little prezzie yesterday. Anita was gardening in the back yard, and I was in the kitchen mopping the floor when I heard Anita call for me in "that" tone. I'm thinking, jeeze, can't I finish one chore before moving on to the next? Turns out the proud hunter had a newly dispatched mole in her mouth that she dug out of our strawberry beds and she was trying to share it with Mom. For some strange reason Anita does not seem to share Clara's fondness for dead rodents, I had to come a deal with it. Good dog. Mike

Good Morning Good People
Cool and breezy, seems to be clouding over, which does not bode well for neighborhood events and countless garage sales in the Alger Heights area, which encompasses about a square mile around the intersection of Eastern Avenue & Alger Street.
Long week at work. Thursday evening I was in the Muskegon City Council chambers explaining planned asbestos removal and smokestack demolition at the site of a former paper mill. I ended up on the 11:00 news. Friday afternoon I was bouncing around the north woods in an ATV with a client who wants to develop a 220-acre property overlooking a river, a site with an old railroad that has been overgrown with a mature forest since it was logged in the 1800s.
Plans for the day are uncertain. Maybe a mission to Lowe's with Mizz Lola. Lowe's allows customers to bring their dogs inside.
Have a fine Saturday one and all.

Another 30km earlier makes 152 for the week (five rides, sun-sat). Just got back from a so-so show by a couple guitarists.

Morning
45F/7C Rain. This weather is not doing my basement any good.
The other day I did a Facebook post about my condition and that I'm not taking any appointments for a while. I will be doing Saturday as long as it doesn't overtax me so today is the trial.
110 Days to IJ.
46 Days to Key West.

Did some tree trimming and filled some holes with sand. Later we've got a crawfish boil to attend followed by a graduation party for the daughter of church friends.
And Christine is bright-eyed and bushy-tailed, beaming all over the house.
Female moods, eh?

clear blue sky, looks like more yard work. wore myself out trimming the mugo's my dad let get too big, still have more of that to do today, along with trying to keep the weeds out of the places they're not supposed to be - and mowing - after chores of course.
have mellow ones, y'all.

Heyyyyy..... Starting the day at 50º, with enough wind to bring the chill factor down to 44º. Heading to 65º, I shall not climb aboard the mower until it gets there. Other things to do indoors. Can't believe how quiet it is here with Carrie gone to Nebraska. It's amazing just how much moaning and groaning and bitching and complaining noise a 16 year old daughter can make.

Cold and rainy here. Put the tomatoes in while it was warm and sunny. I am not sure they are all that happy.
