Good morning.
Gonna be another rainy day soon. Sitting out on the back porch during the rain yesterday I saw the smallest fawn ever trying to keep up with Mom as she crossed from the woods to the farm field. At first I thought it was a cat or other small animal following her but closer up it was a new born fawn not more than a foot tall and still wobbly on it's little legs. It knew enough to follow her but even at a walking pace it couldn't keep up. Hope they made it. Also during the rain a rabbit came up to the pool fence and sheltered under one of the rose bushes. It looked at me occasionally but must have figured I wasn't a threat. Every time Reg whistled or squawked it looked over at the sun porch where the birds live but figured he wasn't a threat either so the rabbit just waited until the rain stopped, about 2 hours before deciding to move on. Wild Kingdom, Va. Happy Tuesday. It's not Monday anymore.
Since I'll be indoors today I guess I'll change the house water filters. That's always fun.

Morning
59F/15C 50% chance of rain.
Bad day yesterday, very tired and extremely nauseated all day, even eating before taking meds doesn't always work. Better today but still not happy.
107 Days to IJ.
43 Days to Key West.

Morning everyone. Marty, what Bill said. Another warm day, this change in the weather is welcome respite from the 54 inches we have had this water year. Today I need to pack a bag, heading down to my Moms place tomorrow to help her out fro a week, it's going to be hot down there, but it will be a dry heat. Mike

I don't know if I can take this, clear blue sky, temps in the upper 60s, might even make 70. More yard/garden work, and if I can figure out how to open the wire looms (finally found instructions on youtube) I'll change the sparkplug wires on the ol' Ranger. Lots of stuff to do. I'm with Bruce - it's not Monday. Ken - love the dog ballet

If you tried that in the US, you would be arrested and put on the sex offenders list.

Early this afternoon, Breeze and I were out walking in a beautiful, relatively up-scale neighborhood in town. As we strolled and sniffed (me mostly strolling and Breeze mostly sniffing) we happened upon a fellow out cutting his lush, deeply green lawn on a riding mower.
Then I realized what I was really witnessing. Instead of cutting his lawn in straight rows from street to house and back again (or from side to side…or, even still, on a diagonal), he was cutting the lawn in ever diminishing sloppy rectangles, turning indistinct 90 degree turns at the corners.
Well, I did what any thoughtful person would do. I broke into a full run toward the man and his mower and executed a perfect tackle – unseating the man and knocking him to the ground. There I held him in a headlock as I screamed at him, “WHAT ARE YOU DOING, MAN?! THINK!!”
Breeze joined in and chomped him a couple good ones in the pants.
To his credit, when I finally let him up he said, “Sorry. I don’t know what I was thinking. Thanks.”
As Breeze and I walked away we saw him brush himself off and get back on the mower. We lingered just long enough to watch him cut straight across the lawn. And on our return back past the place, we saw it had been finished up correctly – nice straight lines.
People, you can’t change the world all at once. Just one soul at a time. That’s how it’s done.
