Up. One more day of briefings and then I get a break. Gonna go doctor hunting here in Virginia tomorrow, mostly to make my flight home more pleasurable. That assumes flying can be pleasurable intros day and age. I hope this finds you all well. Marty, we are still expecting daily reports. We got T-bob's above. How's YOUR zipper??

Good morning.
Got some plants for the poolside yesterday but they didn't get planted because the boss is still the arrangement. Cool and cloudy today but starts getting warmer again tomorrow so I'll try to get the planting done today.
Got the Buick her yearly inspection yesterday and she passed. The guy at the garage said "Oh, I remember this car, the old Buick that looks like it just came off the showroom floor, 2017". If I can get another 18 years out of it that will do.
Happy Thursday. Trump's still president and it looks like nothing's going to happen today to change that. Sorry, haters.

Morning all. If it's raining when you wake up you must be in Portland. I took some melitonin last night before bed. Woke up at 2:30 again but was able to go back to sleep. Progress, I guess.
Paul S, if you can upgrade to first class I think you'll find the flying experience greatly improves.

Morning
84F/29C Mostly sunny.
Another good day yesterday, but I did wear myself out trying to get caught up, I'll take it a little easier today. I will be teaching fretwork today. A local music shop has contracted me to teach their young repairman the fine art of good fretwork. So they will get a step by step as I refret a Taylor today. I get paid handsomely and they get to learn all those little skills that go into making a good fret job. You would be surprised what all those books and videos on fretting DON'T teach you. I'll take it easy and let them "help" with a little hands on.
91 Days to IJ.
27 Days to Key West.
EDIT: I made Beef Short Ribs in the slow cooker yesterday for dinner. Along with Garlic Roasted Red Potatoes and fresh Green Beans, damn good eating even though I did not use salt.

Marty you are sounding better!! I think a lot of luthiers from the 70's and 80's figured out they could make a lot more money teaching building rather than actually building. Something to think about.
Really good to hear you more upbeat my friend.
Now it's time to get out the Doritos, salsa, and beer and watch the Comey hearing.

yup a good soaking drizzle (rain in most places) means I get to spend more time in the shop cleaning/organizing. Maybe pull up the 26 year old carpet in the dining nook - lots of indoor projects. Maybe I'll get that recording done for Doug.
Have a better day y'all!

My Chicago friend, Bruce Roper, who built my Nick Lucas copy, teaches Lutherie www.chicagoluthiers.com/He gets students who build their own guitar under his tutelage in his shop. Works out nicely for everyone.

Finally got my medical bill problem straightened out. I think. Won't know until I get the refund check from the provider. If I hadn't followed up yesterday, I would be waiting forever. Instead I'm only waiting 4 to 6 weeks.
Took Mr. H for his eye injection yesterday. More than the usual amount of puffiness, so I'm watching it. Some of the medical assistants are rougher than others.
Got a cheap cruise booked for next January. Sort of a cruise to nowhere in Mexico, since we did part of the itinerary 6 months ago.
As of two days ago, we have a new ISP with the whopping speed of 6 Meg downstream. A last mile radio service. Beats the old 1.3 Meg with CenturyLink. We live on the wrong side of the digital divide.
Today I'm cutting up the last of my tree prunings after I run out for some groceries.
Yes, there is guitar. Have been doing some fingerstyle as well as figuring out chords for some new chorus music.

Really hot and humid weekend on tap. Lonnie's funeral is Saturday.
