When eating fish sticks as a kid in Peoria I can remember my mother cautioning us to watch out for bones. (choking)
I wonder how she'd do with what I've been eating for a few decades.
Skipped riding, took a wheel over to the shop to fix a broken spoke, now fixed.

Not the best motel we've stayed in , think the Modern. Clean but very 1950s.
I'm up too early, Chris still sleeps.
Be in WA in a few hours.
Cool here

When eating fish sticks as a kid in Peoria [...] My first wife's maternal relatives comprised a large part of the Lebanese community in Peoria. Supposedly, my son has about 300 relatives there and elsewhere, on that side of his mother's family. My late former MIL died about 26 years ago, at the age of 82. Her people had been in Peoria for a long time. Hot as blazes in Kings County today. Have a good day, people.

Morning
86F/29C T-storms this afternoon.
Carnitas enchiladas turned out downright yummy. Pretty much the same recipe I have in the library, just a different filling, Carnitas, rough chopped onion and chopped black olives.
It's Swan Jam weekend, hopefully we'll get expect reports and photos.
50 days to IJ.

Good morning. Another hot day, even hotter than yesterday.
On the other hand, the left one, it started working again yesterday and I was able to get in some guitar practice. THat's a good indoor in the A/C hobby so I'll try again today.
Meanwhile, I see that Microsoft mail (Outlook) doesn't come with Win10. Mary's machine has it because it was an upgrade from Win7 but if I want it I have to pay $100. That pisses me off. All I lose is my mail history and address book if I don't pay up. So far I haven't found a way around it but I'm still looking. Anybody know a way?
Happy Friday.

Munching on some cereal. Then packing the CRV, and off to Owen Sound ! ! ! Woo Hoo ! Whose CR-V? Safe travels, in any event! Had a wonderful time at a FREE Minnesota Orchestra concert last night, a bit of marketing genius on their part in a program called New Season Sampler, where they played shortish, single-movement pieces from their upcoming Fall-Spring season, all very accessible stuff ("West Side Story," Mozart, Beethoven, Berlioz, etc.). They also had food stations set up for before and after the concert on their outdoor plaza, and happy hour pricing on beverages. But the real genius was in promoting their One Night Only deal where if you signed up for any four or more upcoming concerts, the seats will be half-price. Many people lined up at intermission to sign up.

gray skies, I was incorrect yesterday, misled by the heavy dew on everything (including the dogs), the rain-o-meter did not register any precipitation - the rainless stretch continues, it may break today, one never knows. Good things happen on Fridays
better days y'all

I've got a decent Citizen eco-drive watch and recently the date has been a day behind. This morning I noticed it's now reading a day ahead. I don't know how it skipped two days without me doing anything.
Unless of course my watch is functioning perfectly and I've stepped through some sort of wormhole or tear in the space/time continuum....
That's it - I'm from the future, y'all!

Pretty day today but a little warm. Taking grand chilluns to Circus Schmurkus. A kid performer three ring circus. Nationally known. Based in Vermont. Has a great reputation in the age of the dying circus. Could be the revival.

Spent a couple of hours digging weeds out of the garden yesterday. Not too hot, but definitely humid. Maybe I'll finish that today after picking up Mr. H's prescriptions and a few groceries.

I could not lose all that business information. if you need Microsoft Office it does come with that.

I'm late. Sue me.
Enjoying the company of elder son Joshua, who is home for the weekend. We'reHe's trimming trees and helping with yard cleanup. It will all look great as soon as my mower gets home from the shop. Hopefully before I have to leave foe NC next weekend.
We will also break out guitars and get started on some tunes.

Wow. Circus Schmurkus was all it is cracked up to be and more. So much fun, talent and excitement. Now I know where Cirque du Soleil gets its talent from.
