Well, here I am in sunny Hicksville, eating Portillo's wonderful hotdogs (relish, onions, mustard, nothingelse), playing my guitar and being simply awesome. There is a Portillo's close enough to me to hit with a rock as long as it is thrown by a relatively powerful catapult. I would be happy to allow you to buy a few for me next time you come over. Best offer I've had in weeks.

I'm up. Stayed up late last night watching the Dr Blake Mysterys. Good show.
Today I'm thankful for...LJ deciding not to post anything. By doing, or not doing, he has provided a invaluable service to mankind.

Thanks, Mike. If I decide to post today, I will let you know but I am thinking I will continue to show restraint and stay away.

My picking hand is cramping up. Too much yard work and house work yesterday. More to do outside before the monsoon rains return in a few days, but I won't be digging weeds today. The great lawn tractor disaster yesterday turned out to be nothing, so Mr. H got half of the mowing done. The place is starting to look like somebody lives here.

it's a good thing LJ isn't posting today or this might have been relegated to the 3rd page just because I slept in.
another cool, foggy morning, temps might make it to the mid-60s. 'they' are predicting this will lift sometime today, not sure I want it to.
better days y'all!

Damn. I was all excited for posting today, but now I will go and host the open mic at Schoodacs instead, outdoors on the porch even, as it is such a beautiful day. So sorry folks that I couldn't share that. Damn you LJ.

Another day in paradise. Just got through moving and stacking a cord of wood. Beer O'clock already?

Up and awake. It rained all day yesterday, so the dog got to go outside alone. Our yard is fenced, but I usually go out to keep him honest. Sure as anything, I put him out unsupervised yesterday and he dang near destroyed one of my blueberry bushes by right digging next to it. Rainy days make doggie sniffers go into overdrive, and whatever he was after was right there. Today, it's off to the Home Depot for several 4 x 4s and a roll or two of some kind of fencing to put around the bushes. I'm sure that will be fun to mow around - not... The blueberry bushes are safely behind a fence now. Gibson sat and watched. He pouted the entire time. Sheesh.

Air is about 80, pool about 87, Scotch on the rocks about 38. It doesn't get much better than that.

Bears love the sweetest berries on the far side of the hill. They leave their thanks in large steaming piles that glisten purple in the sun. A truly awesome site.
