Well, my sleep study was interesting. I'll have to wait 7-10 days for the results. I think I may have actually slept better because what else is there to do when covered in electrodes? The fact the the tech never woke me up to test a CPAP indicates whatever is going on isn't sleep apnea. We'll have to see. Off to work. We are administering oral comprehensive exams this week, so it's four days of four students a day answering questions. Yes, indeed, this will be fun. I've been practicing my "incredulous face" and other off-putting body language. The band has secured a lead singer, but our keyboardists and alternate guitarist informed us he is leaving this summer, courtesy of the Army. He was going to retire, but can't afford to now because of his divorce. Sheesh.

Good, though cold, morning.
Hope the sleep study works something out for you, Paul.
Got the basics of the Christmas Village up yesterday and the lights working. That's my part. Mary will fiddle with it all week putting in the details. I'll probably get assigned to get the tree set up, fake tree, today. Somewhere in there I'll try to work on the Christmas music set for Wednesday. Looks like I never recorded the Christmas songs and that won't happen now either. Evan's are pretty good. I can't compete.
Have a good day.

Two seasons today here, sayeth the weatherpersons -- high in the 50s, then cold and windy and snowy overnight, should be an inch on the ground come morning. Blizzard warnings up north in Outer Tandbergia.
How 'bout them Vikings? How 'bout that Rickie Fowler?

Two guitars to work on today, 1917 Martin 0-18 in for a neck reset and a 1967 Gibson ES-335 that has been kept in the basement for many years and needs a real good cleaning and set up.

not quite freezing this morning, but with luck it isn't going to rain. Got about 1/16th of the floor laid. You know,,, it's not as easy as they make it look on the DIY shows. and when I get half way done, I have to move the half of the room that isn't done onto that which is.
better days y'all

Up. Slept in today until 5:50. Wow. What's up with that. Mike Evidently.......you are. Talked to my surgeon's nurse this morning. She certainly explained why I have felt like I have.....the hernia turned out to be what they refer to as "incarcerated", meaning my intestine was "pinched off" inside. So I am severely plugged up and working on becoming severely unplugged. Like a kink in a hose. I have secured medications to correct the issue and should be fine in another day or so. Sure glad I didn't complicate things by taking any opioids.....Tylenol has done me just fine.

Chili Verde report from last night, big smiles all around. I made a double batch and the wife and kids ate more than half of it, I wanted leftovers.
This time I used canned diced green chilies as apposed to fresh pablano chilies and chopping them myself. A lot less work and a bit spicier, more seeds in the canned stuff. The canned chilies are diced finer and cook down better, this makes for a smoother consistency. The down side is the cost as canned chilies are far more costly unless you can find them in cans bigger than the 8oz ones most places carry. There are 28oz and larger cans out there but they are only on line and none of my local mercados have them.

We got us a full blown blizzard going on. The entire area is shut down or soon to be shut down. Oh, and we had been having it so nice...
