You have probably said this before but my CRS syndrome precludes me from remembering. Where is Home, JD? I've been in northern Vietnam for a few weeks, heading to Kanazawa (Japan).

Temps will be dropping every day until Christmas Day (4F/-16C) so I think I'll do grocery shopping today and get stocked up.

My iMac was growling along at a snails pace. I added some memory and ran Tech Tool from a boot drive. It took two days to defragment and restructure all the data but now it’s back to it’s old self.
I didn’t expect such a dramatic improvement.

I have transitioned from discomfort to "this really sucks", so now you all get to listen to me complain. Why? Well, I can't complain at home! Just - crud. That said, I got an e-mail from Mass Street that my guitar is ready. I had a bone nut put on the '94 Les Paul. So in summation, does my back REALLY hurt? Yessir. Will I nevertheless drag myself into the car and out to Lawrence on the way home? But of course. Guitar players. We are a screwy lot, innit?

Hope it gets better soon.

My best back and music Story was once when we did a job in Morris MN and a blizzard hit and we got trapped there. My dear friend and bass player Bruce Kelly threw his back out digging the car out the next morning.
He was totally immobilized by the pain so I drove him back to my place where he had left his car.
He was pretty much fused in a sitting position so we kind of lifted him in that position and put him behind the wheel of his car and sent him off.
I called the next day to see how he was and apparently when he got home no one was there and he was trapped in his car several hours in his garage until someone came to get him out.
Later it was funny but not too much at the time.
I feel for ya Paul. I have had several acute back syndromes and the pain and spasms with movement were so severe I don!t think I could have gotten out of the house if it was on fire. I used to have my wife go to the ER and get injectable Toradol and give me a shot. It was amazing and I could at least get to the bathroom.

I've had two crippling attacks in the past year (one while up in MN at the pottery festival. Marty saw me in can-barely-stand shape). I continue physical therapy exercises, but I'm experimenting with a guy in Geneva IL (Somebody who knows Glen Elvig through the music world -- he produces David Mallett concerts in Chicago area). Anyway, I got in conversation with a guy heading up the new kinesiology dept at Purdue and got curious enough to look into it. That, coupled with a connection through Breeze's vet led me to this guy. I've gotten a few 3 mile runs in lately, but I don't know if I'll ever fully recover.

Thanks for the well wishes, Gentlemen. I can relate to the guy stuck in his car. I surely can.
My back has been pretty decent lately. Last night, however, my 14 year old had a sleep over with 7 of her friends. Around 1 AM, they started to get loud, you see. I was in my jammies, and in the current world, there was exactly zero chance of me going downstairs myself to ask them to be quiet.
As the Lovely Kathy was slow off the mark to get up and tell them to hush up, I decided to stomp on the floor three times instead to try and signal them to be quiet.
This is the result. As we say in the trade, "<expletive deleted> me to tears." ::sigh::
