I'm listening to my "Christmas Mix" playlist. Getting ready for the festivities tomorrow. Sue asked, "Do you have any Christmas music?" "Do I ever have some Christmas music !" "My Christmas mix has 163 songs for 9 hours 57 minutes. Do you think that's enough?" So I was listening to some quick clips the last couple hours. And, for my sensitivity, the Very Blue Rock Christmas is at the top of the list. Stellar performances. Great original songs. Fabulous voices. www.bluerocktexas.com/music-shop/shop/a-very-blue-rock-christmas/I also still love, in the traditional vein, the Kenny Loggins album. Tons of others. Rather Jazzy and off beat, but very cool is Over the Rhine's: Snow Angels. Jewel has a nice Christmas album that always makes the mix. And then there's Jimmy Buffett's classic: Christmas Island.

Also included in the big mix is Chicago Bob doing Christmas in Prison.
And some guy named Hammond playing a big ole Goodall guitar in the Podium guitar room.

Merry Christmas folks. These are a couple of our favorites. Checking out the Kenny Loggins one now. Gorgeous.

Still very fond of both Dylan's Christmas in the Heart and Dave and Tracy's American Noel.

Just using Spotify this year, as were away from home. Lots of great stuff, all genres.

Apple itunes is pssing me off. I was going to buy some of the Jazz songs. But itunes would only let me get their f***ing streaming thingy for 3 months free.
F*** You. I want to buy what I want and I want to have it in my possession. I don't want to be dependent on some Mega-monster to feed me my soma, then threaten to take it away if I don't pay my monthly tax.
So I clicked off. I couldn't find a way to just buy the songs. I can go to Amazon for that. But then I have to port them into itunes so I can load them on my phone. Just too much hassle for Christmas Day.

I also re-upped my Sirius/XM radio for the car. 60's on 6!

Nice album, Chili as I'm listening to it. Guy Clark and Michael Johnson are no longer with us.

Prime and Sirius have monthly subscription fees. I don't pay no stink' monthly subscription fees. Nor do I and I have both. Sirius can be negotiated with. They are desperate to keep customers. Amazon has a yearly fee and it provides much more than a music app. Unfortunately, being in Canada, I've lost my Prime Video. I have to weigh the pros and cons of keeping it. Free shipping may not be enough.
