Gorgeous weather this weekend -- as Todd mentioned yesterday, the humidity has broken at last, and it's summer-perfect. The two-man landscape crew who refreshed my mulch and trimmed hedges yesterday looked like they were having fun.
For those of you interested in enjoying some music in west central Wisconsin, Justin Vernon has at last revealed who he hired this year:
Only now that gates are open and bands are plugging in has Justin Vernon’s Eaux Claires Music & Art Festival released this weekend’s schedule for its fourth annual campout in Eau Claire, Wis. Some of the big names on the roster include Eaux Claires co-curator Aaron Dessner’s band the National, Sharon Van Etten, Pussy Riot, Moses Sumney, Low, Dirty Projectors, Big Red Machine, Phoebe Bridgers, Francis & the Lights, Hiss Golden Messenger, Mouse on Mars, Swamp Dogg, Noname, Ho99o9 and Julien Baker.
I have heard of about three of those acts.

Good Morning Good People
Glorious cool summer morning. Window are open to release stale air.
Working on restoration of a 100-year-old garden bench from the olde summer cottage. A sentimental, non-practical venture. After cutting out rotted wood and replacing it with cedar, I will sloppily slap a couple of coats of paint on it, 'cuz that's how things are done at olde summer cottages.
Have a fine summer Saturday one and all.

Just walked Breeze through the woods. It was chilly enough that I wore a flannel shirt. Breeze didn't.

Good morning.
The cold front passed north and south of us yesterday with little rain or thunder. It is cooler this morning and windy. I should probably do outdoor work while we're in the 70s but it doesn't sound like fun. I do need to get the fallen leaves out of the pool but otherwise I think I'll just enjoy the cooler air.
Have a good Saturday.

It was chilly last night. I loved it. Nice today, too, with a deep blue sky and low humidity. Enjoy your morning kale juice.

It’s a beautiful 65 degrees with little humidity today, we’re off to the Cedar Rapids farmer’s market, I type as Kim drives. After we’ll probably walk around the Newbo area and the market. We brought a cooler in case we find something interesting for dinner.

Good Morning.
83F/28C Sunny.
Just got back from taking DaWife to breakfast at Obb's. No bacon for me as it's not on my diet but I did splurge and have some crispy hash browns. Now down to the shop for a couple of hours and then we'll head out for errands this afternoon.
Pine Island 89F.

Good morning. It'll be clear and hot here. The skies will not be cloudy all day. The few remaining water molecules have received extreme unction.
Just took a pleasant walk, although it was already warm. A few chores await. Enjoy your day.

It's pretty nice down here in Flatte City, too. I'm headed out to do all the yard work, and will take dog with me.

Much accomplished already -- cold brew coffee picked up, car washed, tires sprayed, wheels polished, prescriptions procured, the side yard mowed, now it's off to Holman's Table for brunch, then over to Rooster's BBQ for some takeout chicken to nibble on as the weekend progresses.
Missed the F1 qualification -- it was on a channel I don't get, grrrrrr.

In a bit of flip flop, Newfolden might be the hot spot of the nation today, provided the nation stops somewhere just south of Iowa. 84F and windy as hell at 10:55. And we are on our way to 90F. Maybe. 88F for sure. Probably. Good thing we have good moisture or this would be a tough day to be a plant.
Every crop I've seen between Grand Forks and the Farm is beautiful. This, so far, has been an ideal summer. Perfect rains, perfect temps. Everything looks great. Really great. And my tomatoes, good golly Miss Molly, I have never had such tomatoes. I have some of my early ones starting to turn already. By mid-week, I will be with tomatoes and beans and peas (pole beans, snap peas)

Really lucked out at Holman Field today! Not only were there several bizjet landings and takeoffs, plus quite a few single-prop planes, but 5 mins after I sat down on the patio, the EAA's Tri-Motor landed and pulled right in front of where I was sitting. I didn't pop for a $75 ride, though. This one was the 150th ever built, and is circa 1929. The hangars in the background is where 3M stores its fleet of Gulfstreams. They are tight-lipped about how many they have, but I've heard it's more than a dozen.

In Eastern PA visiting family; a beautiful 73 degrees headed to 78.
I haven't played guitar in quite a while. I have two sitting out in the living room but the desire hasn't been there. But Todd's post on learning to play guitar is inspiring. Maybe when I get home I'll put on some new strings and fiddle around a bit.
