This is a beautiful day again in Northern California I know there’s some problems about wildfires. Unfortunately mother nature (or the prez)changes the planet all the time. I would help with a wildfire if I were a little younger.
Today I’m coming back to volunteer my piano in a Rehabilitation Healthcare. I am back. We all know this . It’s a great place to practice. The patients are all incredibly old and they can’t remember shit. It’s actually wonderful to help lonely or “leaving soon” people. Sometime music helps a damaged person then this soul are a brightening.
This is a simple day. One thing that I do in the morning so be very careful with my tricks. I don’t know if it’s my old brain injury problem or “Senior moments” I always forget something. I couldn’t find my phone - I knew where it was. And I can’t find my glasses - “it’s on your nose!” So I said silently “ i’m an idiot or moron” with laughter.
And I think I’ll grab the dog and go to the beach as well. Some pictures on Facebook and if I ever figure out the Internet photos. Possibly ....you’ll see some pics on Soundhole Cafe. Don’t hold your breath. 😎
This is my day Sunday Sanctuary
Good morning brethren

Good morning.
No idea so "Hard Days Night"?
Sunny and warm now but thunder storms forecast later and for most of the next couple of days. Must still be August.
I watched the Red Sox day game yesterday and they won. OTOH, they were never behind in that game. The night game wasn't looking so good so I crashed while they were behind 2 to 1. Apparently within minutes of my going to bed the Red Sox tied the game and then went on to win again. So, rather than thinking I have no control over the outcome I'll revise my theory and believe that my going to bed is only necessary for a win if they're behind when I decide to bail out on them. We're 9 1/2 up on the Yankees now, Doc. Sorry, Bob, not really.
Have a good Sunday.

Good morning. I have church duty, then coffee with friends this afternoon. Then I'll make chorizo and potato tacos for dinner. That's enough content for a day. Enjoy yours.

Good Morning Good People
Pleasant summer morning. Would be a good day for swimming or sailing. Doing neither -- church followed by household chores and office time.
Harmonica riffs and new banjo tunes remain elusive.
Have a fine summer Sunday one and all.

Slightly overcast, it actually rained yesterday, should be cooler today.
It's my favorite day of the month, bridge all day, after chores of course.
Better days y'all

We are spending a few days in Morro Bay. Huck and I took our walk from the hotel to the beach just before sunrise. He spotted a stand up paddle boarder beyond the breakers and decided he would investigate further by pulling me into the ocean.
Heading out to breakfast soon.
Tip to the wise: a half pint of coffee ice cream at bed time will keep you awake most of the night.

Last couple of days were an annoyance. Saturday I called the bookstore to see if the Folk Festival I was to be the opener for was still on in the rain. I found out it was yesterday. I had gotten the wrong day from the promoter, and didn't notice the different date on the poster. Ugh. So embarrassing, and unfair to the promoter. Then the date with my wife got all messed up accosting SIL's infirmities which she wanted minimized and my wife maximized resulting in 3 sets of dinner plans foiled. Finally we got home late and found out my daughter's car front end fell apart as she was driving for the emergency pizza. Tragicomedy of errors. Hope today is better. Gotta go to play at the beerfest in an hour. Hope the rain doesn't wash it out. I don't particularly like watered down beer.

Interesting development. Dar never gave up on being a runner. Even after the labrador retriever took her knee out. Even after the surgeries and the foiled comebacks. She never really gave up. She kept her weight down. Walked a lot. Miles every day.
One of the guys she reads regularly was talking about his approach to running. More exertion but for shorter periods. Rather than miles at slow pace, intervals at closer to peak performance. Since she couldn't keep up the distance anyway, she started giving it a try. Bursts of speed. Lots of backwards running up hills (the paved greenways in our town make that possible). And she's been doing this for quite a long time now. A few years.
She got curious. She can run a continuous mile now. She wondered how much speed she's lost over the years. Two miles. Each under 8 minutes.
I guess the new program is working.

I can drive a mile in 60 seconds and I can also do it in reverse. Those backup cameras are great for that.

Due to the fantastical abilities of a 10-year-old boy to stress the house's plumbing system, we replaced all of the toilets with Flushmate pressure-assisted toilet operating system (that's what they call it). The plus side is the potential to never have to plunge again. The downside is I have no frickin' idea how to fix one of these if they break.
