Maybe Thursday –> Friday, Aug 16.
Got some rain thru the day, typhoon #10 coming by. Only a little breezy, and maybe a little more breezy yesterday. It was pushing some really hot air, so maybe we'll get some more normal summer temps from now on.
I've done some indoor cleaning to get ready for next week--gonna be adding five people here then, so get stuff out of the way & make room for futons.

A most pleasant repast last night at Holman's Table. Barb surprised me by inviting the Radtkes -- Dave was there when I arrived, Melva had a meeting but joined us in time to have a glass of wine. Quite a few air ops on the adjacent runway, including a spiffy Mooney and an older Cessna that pulled up and the occupants joined us on the deck for dinner. Weather was coming in, though, and we all fled the joint right before a pretty heavy rainstorm hit. Not sure what the light plane guys did, waited it out, I spose. I took non-freeway roads home and by the time I reached Casa Hammondi, the rain had stopped, only to return again in the wee hours. Things are looking very green out there today.

Good morning.
Just finished cleaning the pool.Might need it later, hot and humid today already. Otherwise I'm celebrating Friday by avoiding work.
Happy whatever day it in in T-Bobland. The Yankees git whooped by Cleveland last night.

Pistachio pesto pasta at Holman's Table last night. Bill may have fled the joint right before a pretty heavy rainstorm hit, but a restroom stop delayed us just long enough to have to run for the car in the downpour. Timing is everything.

Lovely time wine tasting and visiting with friends yesterday, Today, lunch with the old farts. And I’m stressing over having too many balls in the air at once. We leave next week for our two month trip. And we are putting together a bid to have a new house built, downsizing a bit. Single level with a rv garage. How do you do this and leave town for two months? And I really like where we live now, the area is great, but our house is not perfect for aging in place. So, I don’t know...

Good morning. It'll be the third of three days with an excessive heat warning. It's the desert, after all. The weeds in the yard accuse me of neglect and I plead guilty. It's too damn hot to tend to such things. I've started some laundry and will go shop for vittles in a while. Enjoy your day.

Gluing a heel cap may be the biggest thing I get done today. The weather is too good to be indoors but frau Kennedy does want me to repair an antique chicken coop.  |

I got two pieces of mail today. One was a brochure from a retirement home. The other was a letter urging me to make arrangements for my cremation now. They'd be disappointed to know I feel fine.
