I’ve been screwing around with housing and my jobs for three years. I’m so tired of it and so most of my friends & my relatives tired of it also. I’ve had a few solutions. Some of those was incorrect or it wasn’t realistic too. I just checked a ‘correct’ solution with Airbnb- Yepala. The little sleepy town is near Puerto Vallarta. The town doesn’t even have the roads yet. It’s a beautiful spot. All I have to do - walk, maybe ride my bike or paddle a canoe or rowboat. I found a inexpensive housing. It’s like a cabin or a tent. The rent is incredibly low - $320 monthly. I lived to do some research - October 2017. I was only there for a week and it should’ve been a month. www.airbnb.com/rooms/32901346I do need to find one - one year housing. I can live another place for year or longer. I don’t have to deal with this California housing crisis. I have play music, writing, walking and relax. Obviously I do have some ageism and medical issues. A few of my doctors have said you should go to Mexico right away. I have a little bit Spanish.... And there’s a lot ex-pats living the town. I can think of one negative situation. This is a problem possibly. I can’t find permanent housing for year. Why don’t you tell me - an negative one please ?

Bob, I just guessing here, but my guess is that none of us have the expertise to advise you on this. The obvious negatives would be lack of qualified medical care, and the language difficulties.. knowing a little Spanish is not the same as being fluent in Spanish. And frankly, your posts show some difficulty in English.

Most of the time it makes sense My cardiologist told me I should live Mexico. And also my SLPs (speech language pathologist) and all my doctors said “ you should live Mexico” and also my relatives says the same thing. My language disorder disability is APRAXIA. It’s really my own mild stroke. ——- that was incorrect syntax—— that makes sense correct? When I went to Puerto Vallarta 2017 with research. I only stayed there for a week. I had a good time with all Mexico people. I have a pencil or a pad. And I check out the Internet - Spanish/English website.

I also had another housing - Petaluma- inexpensive with a rural farm. I had a little thread - A few Soundlolians had responded - One person loved it - most of them said I don’t think you should do it.
So it didn’t work.
It was way too far - I need people I did rural for a long time 1970s
I like sleepy towns or suburban now.

Whenever I hear the name 'Petaluma', I think of Harry Partch. He made his own instruments, with their own scales, his own notation for his orchestrations, and so on.
I think that's worth the time, esp. if you've listened thru the Carter Quartets.
He worked at U-Ill for a few years (quite a while before Marshall or I got there).

I don't know enough about Mexico to comment, Bob. But I'm interested in hearing your story.
Best to you, man.

We were just out with a couple that as it turns out used to go to Yepala every winter for a month or so. They loved it and said it was very much off the tourist circuit. They rented some kind of open air bungalow. Sounds like a nice place but it has been ten years since they have been there.
Good luck Bob.
