You are familiar with my language and my housing challenges.

I hope the housing issues stop soon. 🙏
My apraxia will be with me my whole life.

I’m thinking about going to Mexico for a year. I have a permanent lease in Mercy Housing, Fairfax, California. But it’s not available yet at least for a year.
I’m still doing some searches and research also. Boca de Tomatlan & Yepala. And I’m going to talk to my doctors another time. My four doctors has already told 2 years to live to Mexico.

I talked to Mexican people in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico 2017. I didn’t have any language problems. I had a ‘cheat book’ and a website for English/Spanish. And sometimes I just talked. The second time.... I didn’t have any problems.

The language - it’s going to be the same time. It’s the apraxia. I write companies. I usually give it to an editor. Sometimes my letters are confusing - my grammar and incorrect prepositions. I have friends to ensure they are clear as I have done with this writing. They help me to edit my letters! And a few friends say “you shouldn’t even edit one word. Your letter is correct“

*ie: Here’s a little different problem.
“a massage or a message” that’s two different words. Here’s a sentence.
“We need a (massage) or (message)”
APRAXIA
another ie: “White” and “right”
Sometimes I say “write right “
what’s correct WHITE RICE.

It’s always the right one with paper. Usually I have a pen & paper and Chalkboard application website.

Last thought -

I have my monthly expenses for Mexico. $850/mo
And I don’t have to work!!!!!
And I still have $500 woohoo!....
save and buy old rowboat or canoe.

And after Mexico, I’ll be back to the United States.

Everybody knows the California Housing Crisis is troubling

My doctors says you should go to Mexico because it’s inexpensive and there’s good doctors and good hospitals

If I can get one year for living- I can save a lot

I need a Spanish translator also. Then I can get a apartment for year.

Were I not so firmly rooted here in Omaha, I would very much consider moving to a small town in Mexico. I know a bit of Spanish, and figure the rest would come back soon enough. While I always feel like I'm unprepared for retirement here, I already have "Set for life" money by Mexico standards.

Bob, it sounds like a grand adventure to me. I hope you go for it!

Always one of the first questions a financial planner asks, "How long do you expect to live?". I answer, "'til just before I run out of money". It kind of puts the ball back in his court.

Thread drift, sorry Bob. I have a friend my age who married a Mexican woman about 4 years ago and went to live in Mexico. I guess it's nice where they live but he wants to come back to the States so they bought a house here up by the golf course. After being here to sign the papers they took a vacation to Europe. Upon arriving back at Kennedy airport she said something wrong at immigration and was deported back to Mexico. They revoked her visa. He of course followed her back to Mexico where they are now trying to get her visa restored so they can move back here. So far they have the papers to prove their marriage isn't a sham but apparently it will take 6 or more months plus travel to several consulates in Mexico to get it straightened out after which they will move back up here. Anyway, Bob, if you go, don't get married.
