Good morning all. The Africa crud has crept up on me.
I'm too busy for this.

Rain from Texas is supposed to start arriving later today, tonight, tomorrow and Monday. The usual flood warnings are going out. Some areas are predicted to get over 4 inches. I think we are predicted to get a more manageable 2. My yellow rubber boots are by the door. Stay dry and on the high ground. By the way, the news said Lake Michigan is up 14 inches from this time last year. Drive along the shoreline and it is pretty obvious.

Good morning.
It's a nice day here, low 80's and sunny. It's still Summer until Monday.
I put on work clothes this morning to see if that will get me any ambition. It's doubtful so far. Never did get going yesterday.
Have a good Saturday.

As health issues go, I'm a lucky man. But still I have a nasty minor problem. I think I hyperextended the big toe on my right foot. Playing racquetball last Wed night. I can hardly walk, it's so tender. On Thursday I fly off to Portugal for a 7 day REI hiking trip. I've played RB for 40 years and never had a problem. Caught the toe of my shoe in mid run and rolled the foot over. I've been training for this trip for months. We're going with 3 other couples. I'll see a podiatrist on Tuesday. See if there's anything he can do to help me. I wish this was just a Gout attack. That's curable. This I think is something else. **sigh**

Nothing you hate more than to see the canary not feeling well.

Nothing you hate more than to see the canary not feeling well. I hate canaries. My mother raised canaries for pet stores when I was a kid. Filthy stinky beasts. I once yelled SHUT UP at on of her “singers” and it fell off the perch deader than a stone. I never told her & she assumed it died of natural causes. Bird heart attack seems pretty natural, I guess. Disgusting creatures that belong in trees, not cages.

Russell, please, put on some pants.
Good morning. Took a lengthy walk and then worked in the yard for an hour and a half. At our place it'll probably top out in the high 80s today. Not bad and getting better. Enjoy your day.

Years ago I made a list for Mr. H and taped it on the door into the garage. It's still there: watch, wallet, cell phone, keys, pants zipped. You might not be surprised at how many times that list has saved him. I need to print it out for the new house.
We are at the old house until tomorrow. I keep saying 2 more trips and the house will be emptied out, then we tackle the garage and storeroom. Although one friend reminds us that there is a finite amount of stuff and we will finish, it doesn't seem that way.
Tomorrow evening we go to a neighborhood potluck. Since I knew I wouldn't have much time, I made tortilla rollups and put them in the freezer. I hope they have time to thaw, although the problem may solve itself when we walk over there at 5:15 PM. Unless the forecasted rain shows up.

That's silly. Everyone knows the cat ate the canary.
