Healthcare providers frequently allow patients to access their electronic health records (EHRs) through a patient portal. Patient portal apps and software must secure, or be rendered secure. Quick little Q & A’s don’t need security. A little conversations are really simple ie: you talk quickly and somebody says the another thing. You can talk or text The HIPAA portals are so difficult because it makes everything slower. When one can change an appointment takes portal 10 minutes if you do this with text or talk to people you can do it 10 seconds This isn’t a rant but I’m getting tired of the portal. To access any of our employee/hospital network resources from off-site (home laptop, smartphone, etc) we now have to do multi layer authentication and other stuff that makes it really difficult to access consistently.
