I received the same fb message from a friend with the link to a youtube video. I should have known better, but I clicked on it. Nothing happened.
But based on your experience, I just went into fb and changed my password.

Actually I think Bob didn't get hacked, a friend of Bob's got hacked, Bob's name got picked off his friend list and the message got sent as Bob. That's how the spammers do it. It's Bob's friend who needs to change password but it's really too late.

It's Bob's friend who needs to change password but it's really too late. Bruce You don’t know that I wasn’t hacked. But it’s confusing with a Russian hacker/spammer and a interesting thought. Do you know if you saw my computer or my iPhone... then you can figure it out.

I don't know if I could figure it out, Bob because I'm 13 years out of the business and don't even know what tools are available anymore. What I'd wonder first though is if you can look at sent messages on your phone and see if you actually sent that message to anyone including yourself. I suspect you didn't. I've seen that on PCs that people claim to have received spam from but there's no indication that PC actually sent the messages, they were spoofed by some other infected PC that picked a name from someone else's mail list and used it in the "From" field of the spam messages. The actual sender is hard to find.
