I found a email on Marin County California
It was depressing but it was funny too
I had an outage as well
I had flashlights and candles
(maybe I also had flashbacks) ?!?!?!

Even if you ignore situations like 80 year olds tripping over 90 year olds in pitch black stairwells, think about all the people who live paycheck to paycheck or inventory to inventory? Not everyone has the physical or financial luxury to ride it out and make sweet lemonade out of lemons

A friend commented yesterday that the power outages will have more of an impact on California than the fires. Fires are always somewhat abstract to us if it isn't our house that's burning. But power outages cause us real inconvenience. That we take seriously. A realtor I know told me that every time California has a disaster more Californians move to Phoenix. (They must not have read the climate projections.) The power outages will probably trigger some relocations. We're an odd species.

I can’t talk with new people or acquaintances. 
I can talk with soundholians regarding drug usage. This group are good friends.
