Well, I finally ventured out around 3 after the plow trucks had spread salt around noon and the snow/sleet turned to light rain. An ugly day, and I was not productive at all, other than plundering all kinds of YouTube videos. My local stupormarket has expanded its deli from offering rotisserie chickens in various flavors, to meatloaf, and today, I noticed big roasted bone-in turkey thighs (one per container), so I took a chance and brought one home. A little salty, but really tender and juicy. I might be a repeat customer! Fresh greens counteract the sodium, no? Dip them in a glass of tequila. Make use of that salt.

.... Russell, Terry and ePaul, please check in (those boys are in the path of serious snow and wind, supposedly). Can't speak for Russell and Terry, but up here we're all dead. At least I got to put a pretty good dent into my Christmas pistachios.

... I've been harvesting basil leaves, washing them, drying them and freezing them... Harvesting basil is it's own reward whether you ever use it or not. I love the smell of it. (I grow several varieties I never use for anything, just grow them to smell them.)
