USA TODAY Not everyone is getting a $1,200 coronavirus stimulus check. Here's who will be left out.
I read this USA TODAY - in Internet
Is anybody read another new source?
I haven’t filed IRS tax return for 8 years.

Bob, here's an excerpt from that page:
Who will receive the Economic Impact Payment automatically without taking additional steps? Most eligible U.S. taxpayers will automatically receive their Economic Impact Payments including:
* Individuals who filed a federal income tax for 2018 or 2019 * Individuals who receive Social Security retirement, disability (SSDI), or survivor benefits * Individuals who receive Railroad Retirement benefits
I think you fit squarely in that second bullet point. If you have direct deposit, the economic impact payment should be deposited directly into the same account your Social Security is. If you get your checks by mail, it will take longer.

I'm expecting $2400 at some point--paper rather than direct, so it'll probably be June.

I know several people that got their $1200 auto deposit last night so be on the lookout if you have a bank account tied to IRS

My wife and I got our $2400 deposited last night, along with our Social Security amounts. The account looked pretty good this morning.

SO it sounds like SS recipients have received them. We haven't yet, but I don't know the last time the IRS used our direct deposit info. We might be direct deposit, might be paper.

In addition to being direct deposit SS recipients, I e-filed our taxes in early February and soon got a direct deposit refund. I don't know how any of that factored into my early stimulus deposit. I do feel a little stimulated, though I don't currently have a wish list. If anything, I own too much stuff. I am blessed to not need the stimulus for living expenses so will hang on to it as we monitor our kids' job situations, which have, so far, been stable.

The president is actually not an authorized signatory on Treasury checks. I think his name will be on the memo line, something like: "Courtesy of your benevolent King, Donald J. Trump."

Last week we got a "Slow the Spread" postcard that's been Trump-branded. Classy.

Genuine question: Does anyone still get Social Security by check in the mail? I did have a client call in for a friend who gets her check by mail, so there is at least one person.

I send them a paper check when I owe (rare), so no worries. Maybe I'll try deposit-by-taking-a-photo so that I can keep/frame the check.

That's funny. He didn't want his name on Stormy Daniels' check.
