There’s so much libraries in the clouds. “ Billions billions billions billions“ by Dr Carl Sagan
I go to search Google then I go to another website, Facebook, then I see my searches. Google/Facebook is a cloud with million tiny computers.
Mega Search and Multi Search Engines - synchronization-
Music Humour Sports Blogs Wisdom Video Images Shopping Political Technology Fishing Guns Law - citations Health Reference Science Schools Collages Genealogy Socialism Religion History Security Fantasy Sex Language Communication Games etc etc
So what are your best multi searches? Either brief or verbose. I prefer moderate

Not sure what you're asking Bob. Are you asking what terms and subjects we most often search for, or are you asking which search engines we use?
Even when alone, I never use a Web search for random wandering. I always have something specific I'm looking for. The subject depends on what I'm doing at the moment. I might be looking for a user manual for an older appliance or something. It could be something that's come up in conversation. In any case, it's always specific information I'm looking for. I never browse the Web like the shelves of a library.
Since I usually want my search to be as specific as possible, I'm picky about the tools I use. I almost never use Google even though it is the most powerful search engine. I dont like having my searches tracked of course but the main reason is Google favors sites who have paid for higher ranking. Those sites will appear immediately following the links marked as advertising. Then there are pages and pages of sites that may contain one of the words in your search.
My default search engine is Duck Duck Go because they dont track my searches. The results seem more specific but the ads are still there at the top of the list. Both Google and Duck Duck Go seem to favor "bogus" Web sites that aren't real sites but are simply mockups of a Web site built on the fly to appear to be an answer to your search. The other day, Fiddlerina searched for the terms" password" and "manager." The top result was a bogus site offering comparisons between several products, the most favored of which was totally unknown to me. Looking around, there was fine print stating that product ranking was something they sold.
My favorite search engine and browser for getting specific information quickly is Yandex. This one is also one of the most secure (includes its own VPN) and never hacks your searches. Yandex also provides very effective operators that you can use in a search so that the links you get back are very specific and don't go beyond your search terms. It really gives me a reasonable number of links that are very specific to my query instead of page after page of unrelated stuff they hope will interest me.

Dub, thanks
Google is not secure. I was looking for a piano. My Google search was BestBuy then Facebook. And I think Facebook is also not secure.
Google/Facebook are linked
duck duck go Yandex VPN!
I’m only there on Facebook down because of the C19
When I get my piano I won’t be very much on the Internet anyway.
Here’s my schedule When I get my piano keyboard, *(i’m not going to be on the Internet or Facebook- all the time)* I can play and practice 50% -12hr I can write and read 20% - 5hr There’s 30% - sleep, food, walk, talk, Internet- 7hr
understand the math - 24 hours

I had to use Google to find out about Yandex. It's a Russian company, which gives me pause--but then, that's what I see via Google.

Yes, Yandex is a Russian company but they are noted, worldwide, for their security. Some of the best information security work is being done by Russians, e.g. Kaspersky. You’ll see some Cyrillic text here and there but everything you care about is in English. Yandex is not part of Russia’s state sponsored world spamming operations. They are a small company of talented developers dedicated to secure use of the Web.

Glad you feel that way. Myself I'll stick to good old American thievery. PS, the best security is the needle in the haystack concept. I'm just one needle in a huge haystack. Not gonna be overly concerned.

Yandex. Russia.
Hmmmm....
Say, just out of curiosity. Has anyone here ever met this Dub fellow? Know anything about him other than what he has revealed on this forum?
I just did a quick Google search, and the only "Dub" I could find in Iowa was a guy that runs one of those "Pronto Pup" trailers like you see at fairs and farm auctions. I have never heard our Dub say anything about Pronto Pups, and normally those guys are pretty savvy promoters of their product.

I live in Iowa. The only Dub I know uses funny words sometimes like Kaspersky, and appears to know what Cyrillic text is. And he never listened to the band America. In fact, I've heard him say their lyrics are stupid. I think you're on to something, epaul.

Todd, I just PM'd you. In private. Check your messages. This Russkie-within investigation might be up to us, at least until we are able to weed out the cornfield, if you know what I mean. So, we have to act with great secrecy, not letting anyone else know we are investigating. This Dub fellow isn't the only one we should take a look at.
Keep this under your hat, but what do you think about this "Bruce" guy? There are some things about him that are just a little bit suspicious. For instance, everyone knows that if it weren't for the Democrats, we'd all be singing "The Internationale" instead the "Star Spangled Banner", yet every so often, this Bruce guy slips in a little anti-Democrat dig. It's subtle, but once you get your antenna aligned, you can pick it up, little digs, kind of like a commie gopher digging away under the foundation of the Statue of Liberty.
Anyway, mums the word. We must proceed with stealth and great surreptitiousness.

It’s possible that everyone here on the forum hasn’t yet read about the press conference I called earlier today. It was a HUGE press conference and the greatest press conference ever to have been held on my block. The numbers of reporters and media representatives attending were… let’s just say uncountable.
The jest gist of the announcement was to reveal that the Big Orange Six-bits Minus A Nickel (BOSMAN) has let me down. He promised he had the Evil Red Pumpkin Putin (ERP) under control and told me many times what a good fellow ERP really is. Now it’s come to my attention that ERP is moving to take state control of all his nation’s tech companies. This is in spite of BOSMAN’s assurance that ERP would make no such move. If successful, this will include Kaspersky, Yandex, et al. This hasn’t happened yet but seems likely to come about. Therefore it is with heavy heart that I am announcing the withdrawal of my support and recommendation regarding Yandex.
If you have any further questions, please funnel them through my press secretary.
