That (the Duluth editorial) is an opinion piece critical of Gov. Walz's handling of the epidemic. (political?). As regards whether the virus is coming or going/up or down, Minnesota cases, hospitalizations, and deaths in June are way down from April and May (daily deaths in April and May were in the mid to upper 20's, now they are in the single digits). Both hospitalizations and hospital stays in June are dramatically lower than they were in April and May. Minnesota's Covid-19 deaths have largely (over 80%) occurred in long term care/assisted living facilities amongst those pre-existing medical conditions. State Republicans are tearing into Walz for mishandling something or other in this regard. By most accounts, Minnesota is very average in all things Covid (they just have to stop comparing themselves to their neighbors) www.startribune.com/border-comparison-complicates-minnesota-s-covid-19-response/571280492/

I hope things get better, Bob. I did something strange to my knee a couple of days ago. Now the back of my knee is very painful and I can't seem to straighten my knee. I took some Aleve and bought a knee brace. We'll see how it works out. I'm driving for about 7 hours tomorrow. Might want to take a couple of aspirin before the trip and get out every 100 miles or so and walk around. I agree with Millring getting a clot is a slight concern with a long drive and a sore knee. Can I take Aleve and aspirin together? It really does feel like some sort of strain. I asked my wife what her pain was like when she had clots and she said she didn't really feel the ones in her leg, just the ones in her lungs.

It does not sound like a clot, I was just thinking if you had a sore knee and were not using the leg normally and took a long car trip outside chance you might be a set up to get a clot.
If your leg is feeling better I wouldn’t worry much. I would think you could safely take a baby aspirin with Aleve but I am so far out of medicine I should defer to the docs here still actively practicing.

Not together. Aspirin is the better choice for the trip. Aleve is good for discomfort, but not quote as good for preventing clots. Aspirin is also a very good pain medicine, but it would not get FDA approval if introduced today because of its anti-clotting, pro bleeding properties. And do you have any swelling in the affected leg? If so call your doc or go to E.D. Clots can feel just like strains. But strains don't cause swelling like clots do.
