Welsh names without towels vowels
cwtch -
Ask a Welsh person what a ‘cwtch’ is and often they’ll give you a fond smile – because a cwtch is evocative – it has the magical quality of transporting someone back to the safety of their childhood. This corresponds with the word’s other meaning, which is a place to safely store things – if you give someone a cwtch, you're figuratively giving them a ‘safe place’.
crwth
1. crwth (Noun)An archaic stringed instrument associated particularly with Wales, although once played widely in Europe. 2. Crwth The crwth, also called a crowd, is an archaic stringed musical instrument, associated particularly with Welsh music, once widely-played in Europe. Four examples have survived and are to be found in St Fagans National History Museum Cardiff, the National Museum of Wales, Aberystwyth, the Warrington Museum and Art Gallery, Wirral and the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston.

Cheers, t-bob. It's great to see some recognition of my country here! 'w' is a vowel in Welsh, which has 29 letters in its alphabet, by the way. Nowadays, people in Wales mostly use 'cwtch' to mean a comforting hug, such as you would get from your mum or grandma. I have had the honour of actually handling one of the last remaining examples of a crwth. It's at the National Library of Wales, not the National Museum of Wales. I know this because I worked there for 5 years. It's a beautiful thing, anyway. In fact, it's the crwth, the whole crwth, and nothing but the crwth Beth bynnag, t-bob, mae'n gwych i weld rhywbeth am Gymru yma! Diolch yn fawr! (Anyway, t-bob, it's great to see something about Wales here! Thanks very much!)
