28 degrees out there. One of these days I will have to turn on the furnace. Wear woolen socks.

Spent most of the weekend cruising around with the grandkids in the Caddy. "Banana Boat", as they call it.
Fun stuff.

Good morning. Yesterday we had the church service with bagpipes and drums, outdoors. The members of the band all wore masks but the pipers had little slits in theirs through which they could put the reed in their mouths. A group of people with perforated masks playing wind instruments isn't the safest thing in the world but they stayed apart from the congregation. Pandemic pipers: ![](https://photos.smugmug.com/Things/Miscellany/i-GZFSjVw/0/da45c690/M/Pipers%201115208700sP-M.jpg) One of my nearby walking and hiking spots is a city park that abuts our mountain preserve. There's a community garden there. It's a cool little place and I thought my gardener wife would enjoy it. We'll visit this morning. Enjoy your day.

Up, coffee. Seahawks lost. Boo. Pats won in nasty conditions. Rain today soon comes, Duh, it’s the PNW. Omelets for breakfast. Walk on the treadmill. A little guitar. Speaking of little guitars, Artisan has a used Collings O, Madagascar and Adi, sounds fab. Still too spendy though. Oh well...

Another day in clinic. This is the last full week of classes for the semester, and it looks like lots of students are wanting COVID testing before they go home. It could make for a busy week.

Have good ones. Had a chest x-ray, abdominal ultrasound and CT scan today. Some for my liver and also for the yearly follow-up meeting with the GI surgeon who performed the cancer surgery on my right kidney 2 years ago. Life goes on.
I also found out Friday that my first "boss" at my school psychology job passes on the 12th from cancer. She was the best. I miss being on the same planet with her.

Today, Phoenix broke the record for the latest 90-degree day on record. Yippee. Or perhaps not.
It was actually very pleasant but it's so wrong.
