I try their other subs, but I always circle back to the Vito, w/ hot peppers.

Their sandwiches aren't bad (though not as good as Erbert & Gerbert's), but we stopped patronizing the chain when they took to union-busting.

IMHO Jimmie John’s is overpriced, and the owner is not someone I want to support.
And the thing is, here we have this place called Beaverton Sub shop, and they are both outstanding and well priced.
For commercial chain subs, I think Jersey Mike’s is pretty good.

Tried 'em. Don't like 'em. Simple as that.
Sorry, I don't mix my politics and cuisine. I could give a crap.

But... but, if you were a baker and a same-sex couple asked you to bake a cake for their wedding, would you have to think twice about it or would you just bake the cake?
Ha! 😀

Hadn't thought about it from a producer/server point of view. Sure I would. I've cleaned windows for those occasions.

Best lettuce sandwich around. A little meat and cheese for spice and color. Good bread. Too pricey.
Yeah, the dude has gotten some bad press. But I like the bread.

So, let it be said that you don't mix politics and window cleaning, either.

Their sandwiches aren't bad (though not as good as Erbert & Gerbert's), but we stopped patronizing the chain when they took to union-busting. We used to not go to Jimmy John's because the owner was a big game "hunter". Elephants, rhinos, etc. But in the end that guy hasn't "hunted" endangered species for years, and on top of that the company is now owned by an outfit called Inspire Brands, which has nothing to do with the practice. www.usatoday.com/story/news/factcheck/2020/07/09/fact-check-jimmy-johns-founder-hunted-big-game-before-he-sold-chain/5366650002/So now we don't got because, from my experience at least, that any sandwich is 90% bread.

I love the bicycle delivery guys. First encounter in Boise Idaho. Had and have no idea of the politics and finances behind them. But love their hoagies delivered with pedal power.

Jimmy John’s is overrated. Lincoln Subs, which is down the street from me, is the best sub sangwit’ in the free world. I can’t speak for the unfree world. I have loved their subs since I was 18, working in the steel mill, and buying them at their original Lincoln Street location in Gary.

We have some local delis, but if someone just wants a sub it's Jimmy John's or Subway. I like Jimmy John's better (although if I'm in Indy I'll go to Jersey Mike's). It is our habit to have Saturday sandwiches just about every weekend.
Todd, you obviously don't know about the "gutted" option which strips out a bunch of the bread innards. They pack more than enough other ingredients on their sandwiches, so gutted makes for a more balanced sandwich.
My favorite Jimmy John's story relates to noncompete agreements - commonplace in my profession, but not so much in fast food. Turns out, if you worked for Jimmy John's and left for any reason (including being fired), you were prohibited from practicing sandwich arts with competitors for two years, or working within two miles of a Jimmy John's. They did away with the noncompetes after NY deemed them illegal.
My wife's favorite is the #9 (Italian Night Club), which makes for two meals. I like the Vito, the Beach Club, and the Spicy East Coast Italian.

No one goes to Jimmy John's around here anymore, it's too crowded.
