'Ambivert' seems to be catching on a little as a personality description. Seems useful.

Food for thought, Bob.
It's difficult to quantify the harm pandemic isolation and fear has caused. I know that incarceration folks tell us that solitary confinement is the cruelest possible thing in prison. We are social creatures and we need one another. It's no less true for the introvert...and it looks like more true. All the best to you.

I agree that we all need to have someone to visit with. I remember that my father rarely spoke to my mother. Not out of dislike, but he simply was not conversant. He would sit in his chair, read, watch TV, or have outdoor projects. They could go all day without an exchange of words. She died before him and he was extremely lonely. It was not missing the conversation, it was that she simply was not there.
I suppose that some aspect of that loneliness is similar to how the virus caused isolation affected all of us, whether we are introverted or extroverted.

I've always known the damage that isolation does so I never let the virus shut me down. And really, out here life never stopped. So I'm not seeing anything about missed joy.
Doesn't pay to sacrifice life to fear mongering.
