The Fugitive's series finale in 1967 drew 78 million viewers, and The Seinfeld finale in 1998 drew 76 million viewers. The “M*A*S*H” finale was so widely watched that New York’s sewer system was flooded with over 6 million gallons of water due to people waiting to use the bathroom until the show concluded.
