It is 7 AM, but it looks like 8 AM. I feel like it’s 6 AM. Enjoy the 2:30 PM sunset today.

Good morning, a pretty sunrise is happening here, warm temps are expected, and all clocks have been adjusted except in the motorcar. We had a lovely gathering of about a dozen folks yesterday at Yoerg's brewery, with excellent conversation, food and drink. I enjoyed a Usinger's brat mit kraut und Dusseldorfer mustard und caraway rye bread, plus I took home a Usinger's Polish sausage, which will be part of my breakfast this morning. For beers I had a wonderful mug of Kloster Weltenburg Helles, plus a 4-ounce sample of Yoerg's lager and another 4-ouncer of Yoerg's Rauchbier. Mr. Letson collected and played his slightly older than 100 years Martin and dropped off for service another that's slightly under 100. Wow.

Our atomic clocks don't know that they weren't supposed to change. Otherwise, all is the same here.
Had a good time at the Celtic Festival yesterday. The games didn't seem to be following the schedule and there was not much participation in those. We had never been before, so don't know how normal things were. We did a whisky tasting, which cost more than the $15 senior admission price. Came away liking the only peaty one well enough to buy it if we see it, but not loving it. I could have stayed longer listening to various musical groups, but Mr. H wasn't as interested and there was little shade in the 90 degree weather. The opening ceremonies combined several pipe and drum bands. I had never seen so many bagpipes together, not even on 3 visits to Scotland.
Today my choir sings twice. First at this morning's regular service. Then back this afternoon for a memorial service for all of those who died during COVID. Not necessarily of COVID, but there could be no normal service for many of them.
Looking forward to a visit from Scottsdale friends in a few days. Haven't seen them in over 2 years. They'll just be down for the day. They're more cautious than we are, not even going out to eat. We are all boosted. They haven't seen our "new" house and neighborhood. We haven't seen their new puppy.

Man, I wish we would settle on one time setting and leave it alone. Oh. Get off of my grass!

My car’s clock changes on its own. It must be atomically powered which, I think, means its power source is plutonium or something. There is also an analog clock to verify the atomic clock so I will change that one. Two clocks, one car. It’s kind of cool to drive through different time zones and have the clock automatically change to the correct local time. I am easily amused. Time is made up, anyway. It is either light or dark or light becoming dark or dark becoming light. The numbers Mickey’s hand point to really don’t matter. Just ask a cable installer.

Good morning. As Hobson mentioned, we don't change to daylight saving time so nothing happened to us, but now we get to be confused about what time it is in neighboring states.
This morning we'll have church. This afternoon there'll be a Zoom memorial service for my mother-in-law. Everyone participated in putting it together and I'll have a small part to play. Then we'll have dinner with three other couples we like at the house of one of the couples. We're not going to restaurants yet but the guests are all vaccinated.
Enjoy your day.

So much to do, so little time. I just finished grilling, and eating, a pork tenderloin for breakfast, yuuuuummm.
The new Benton County winery, 42 degrees North, is having a wine tasting today, 1-4, I want to go pick up a few bottles.
A ski cub member is having an open house this afternoon to show off her new home, with live music from 1-5.
I need to paint the trim on my woodshed.
It's going to be 60 something today, bike ride weather, but I rode 28 miles yesterday so, that one can wait.

Morning, I won't say good because it's too fricking early for a Sunday.
Twas a rather good lunch at Yoerg's yesterday. While DaWife is not a big beer drinker she will imbibe in one. She does like Leinnnenkugel's and with the prompting of our waitress chose a nice German lager, I had the same and it was very nice.
Actually I still have the 1920 0-18 for just a bit more fret crowning before I start on the 1926 2-17. Bar frets have many problems that T or tanged frets solved. One being that the crown, the bit that gets rounded over, on T frets meets the fingerboard. But on bar frets it does not. Think of a garden wall with a rounded top, but the sides are still straight and at that junction where the top meets the side there is a edge that you can feel. While I worked very hard to smooth that edge Russell can still feel it, I can't but that doesn't matter. So I will go over all the edges one more time. I have had to work with bar frets twice in the last 45 years because they stopped being the fret of choice in the late 1800s when tang frets became popular, for good reason. The last bar fret Martin guitar model that offered bar frets was done in 1933, all other models had switched to tanged frets long before that.
Off to breakfast and shopping soon.
EDIT: The clocks in the house change themselves but my shop clock does not and for some reason the one in my Ford doesn't either.

Already high 40’s, dead calm with glassy lakes. Cloudy. High 50’s predicted.
Bad for the deer hunters, good for paddlers and peddlers. Might do both.

News from the University of Iowa Hospitals:
The food still sucks.
Been here since early Thursday morning. Not a pleasant weekend at all. They are releasing me today.
I found out that if you pass out in mid conversation at the check in desk of the ER, they move you right ro the front of the line, so think about that next time you go to the ER.
Because of that, I have been patient #19 born 01/01/1910 for my whole stay. (I am not a number, I'm a free man) I told the nurses that us "off-worlders" live a lot longer than those that are still stuck on this planet.

Tyler had his first trip to the dog park. He acted like an old pro. Bindi was a little bit better, only drooling once.
It's the first time since Huck was declining.
I only get teared up once

Amanjoe, be well.
Dreary weather day in Beaverton. But laundry is folded, kitchen is cleaned, spinach, orange, banana, mango smoothie consumed.
As I was creating the brine for my chicken thighs Friday my son suggested I follow a recipe. I, unfortunately, ignored his advice. Now I have three pounds of SALTY smoked chicken thighs.
Might need to brave the wind and rain and hit the dog park this p.m. My dogs and I will likely have it to ourselves.
