Up and awake. I gotta say I am not really motivated to get out of bed this morning.

Up and off to the office. They have revoked our work from home privileges except for our four-hour Fridays. This is quite a boon for the Orthodox crowd, who are now guaranteed to be home before sunset on Fridays.
In other news, it looks like our pup has pinkeye. She'll be off to the vet with my wife this morning, poor thing.
Have a pleasant Monday.

Hard frost this morning. Think it’s time to mount the snow blower on the tractor.
Found a willing bass player so looks like we’ll be putting a little basement 3 piece band together over the winter. Should be fun.

Tomorrow will be a long day. We have to be at the hospital by 6 AM so Barb can have her pacemaker replaced. She has had this one for 13 years so it is a medical antique. It will be outpatient unless the wires need to be replaced but all indications are that they won’t. Still, we have to be on the road at about 5 to be there in plenty of time. Her pacemaker has given up the ghost so she has been having some issues that the new one should correct. It’s a surgical procedure so we don’t take any of it lightly.
Today looks busy, too. It will be 65 today so that’s a plus.

Getting my butt drilled today. It's a prostate thing. I've had it done before. Quite unpleasant. But this time will be at the horsepital under anesthesia. So it should be an easier thing. After effects are minimal, at least as I remember from the first 2 times I've had this done.
Only having Gatorade for breakfast.

Yesterday I was invited to a housewarming, birthday, anniversary gathering in Cedar Rapids. At a private home, on the patio, food and live music provided, BYOB and a lawn chair.
When I arrived the music had already started, one guy with a guitar and a small sound system. I wasn't expecting much in the way of music, but this guy was good.
The musician was Kevin Moore, keyboardist from the Rock band OSI, from Chroma Key and Dream Theater. He played and sang for 3 1/2 hours with one 5 minute bathroom break. Songs from the 60s to present, a good variety of music.
I got introduced and got to visit briefly. He is currently a practicing psychiatrist in Minot N.D. I highly recommend going to hear him if you have the opportunity.

Morning. Looks like we are getting a long, mild fall. Much of it is already gotten. And what's coming up looks good.

Cloudy but will be in the low 50’s again. Good paddle yesterday. Glassy water. Looks like shop and infrastructure work today and getting ready for a bunch of upcoming music jobs.
Good luck to all with their medical procedures!

Good morning, all.
LJ and Marshall, I hope all goes well.
COVID has decreased here for the moment, so apparently flu has decided to try to fill the gap. Just what the University needs leading up to Thanksgiving and final exams.
Oh well, job security is good.

A gorgeous day here, full sun and 62 degrees right now. I'm sitting by a window, and plan to be that way until I get outside.
Marshal and DRLJ, best of luck with that medical stuff.
