Hello, everyone.

It is hot here, even by our standards, with heat indices up close to 110. I'm glad I work inside.

I had a gig last night. Our Parks & Rec folks put on a series of concerts in our municipal park every summer, and Chuck and I have been on the schedule for the past several years. Last night was our night. It was a difficult night. The heat index was well past 100 while we set up, and stayed in excess of 95 throughout the gig. Heck, it was still 90 when I got home at 8:45 PM! I have to say it affected my playing; I did not feel very well for most of the show, and it required a bunch of water afterward to start feeling human again. I'm always grateful to have an opportunity to play for folks, and we had as much fun as the conditions allowed, but it was a tough one. The pay was good, though!

I am a crappy proofreader, especially of my own writing. My paralegal is gone for the week, so I need some assistance. I just used "Grammarly" for the first time. I like it.

Unfortunately, it does not work with my preferred word processing program, WordPerfect, so I must cut and paste from other programs.

The morning started off pleasant, after last night's storm, but the the heat and the humidity have returned.
I just finished the summer pruning on my grape vines and worked up a pretty good sweat. Judging from how few grapes are on the vones, it was probably a waste of time.

I'll try to stay indoors for the remainder of the day.

Dryer today and hotter. Gonna see 107F in a few days.

In a while I'll be off to meet with a new gastroenterologist. I've put off a routine colonoscopy for a year now due to COVID. I could possibly justify putting it off longer if my grandmother hadn't died of colon cancer. She had a different diet and a different lifestyle, but still. And it will probably be months before I can get the procedure scheduled.

Not only would insurance not pay out, the Fire Dept. will probably issue a hefty citation and the Police a child endangerment citation.

When I wake up - it's another beautiful day. I try to do all the things that I do. I think about my friends and the planet and then what happens something happens and I do get a little grumpy.....

There's always a lot of that stories in the internet. There's a lot humour especially 4th fireworks with alcohol/guns/sex - cousin/leroys/daryls - The NEW Darwin Stories -

I had nine days with waste of time. One company screwed up my whole life ..... it was a really long long story.........

The company - Lendmark Finance Service.... reviews in BBB (star) I had to deal with the Finance Company - my credit rating .... low low low

I try to talk to people smile walk.... unfortunately I've been trying to get this damn loan problem and also a fraud in my Bank of America.

The Gas/Oil Shoppe had a video surveillance - they actually see all the VISA/MC cards and some of the passwords. The Mexican owner doesn't care for USA people at all. I've talked to a few people and found the same thing that happened.

I had the loan and the fraud that was a long day.

I'm trying to get my mind to be positivity and optimism.
