Off to see the Doc. I'm expecting a pretty good report card. Everything is or should be down from last time, blood sugar, cholesterol, and weight (30lbs easy). Been looking forward to this one.

Nice day here. Last weekend I was unable to use my small boat and outboard motor. I couldn't get gas out of the gas tank to the motor (Mercury 30 hp 4 stroke). I brought the gas tank home to troubleshoot. There is a port, where the gas line connects to the tank and it is also where the gas gauge is located. I took that off the tank so I could check the pickup tube and there was no pickup tube attached to it. The pickup tube was laying in the bottom of the gas tank.
I retrieved the pickup tube, connected it to the output port and secured it with 2 hose clamps. Did a test to see if the squeeze bulb would pump gas and it worked like it should. Looks like the problem has been solved.

Good morning, folks. We get some awful stretches every summer and we're in one. It's ugly hot. I took a walk at 5:45 and ran into two people I know who were doing the same. Either you do it early or you don't do it. But there's a price to pay wherever you live, except Hawaii maybe.

Shop time this morning and then some errands. That will wear me out so Riley and I will nap this after noon.
For the last 4 days the front steps have been being replaced. They just might finish that today so we can use the front door again. The cats will be rather happy about that as they don't like using the servants entrance.

Enjoy your day. There is a price to pay anywhere. MN is a fairly cheap place to live, then comes Winter. Hawaii has a high cost of living because it is a island so everything must be shipped in. The main island has a high chance of earthquake or volcanic damage. |

It’s more “meditation” it’s still warm/harmonious classical music
I was doing my night pills - melatonin- I made a mistake. I only had one pill -5mg - I should’ve had two pills -10mg * a smidge idiot *

I've been sitting in a windshield repair place on behalf of my state car on 1st AVE in Cedar Rapids for an hour and a half. These places don't go to your location anymore and they don't have enough staff. This afternoon, I'll be joining Paleo et al for a bit of music.

I took my old dog to the vet to have a skin tag removed from her eyelid. I sure felt bad about leaving her there, though I know she will be happier in the long term.
Another 90+ temp day but should be back down in the 80s the rest of the week.
